The House is located on a dirt road and is a wonderful place to completely relax. Laze on the comfortable sofas or use it as a base for activities. Upon arrival you will find the beds already made! Through the hall (with toilet) you enter the living room with open, fully equipped kitchen and a sitting area with comfortable sofas and a wood-burning stove. From the living room you have access to a beautiful bright conservatory that is used as a dining room. Outside you have a covered terrace with a dining area, a lounge set and a large private garden. There are three bedrooms: one small bedroom is on the ground floor, the other two are on the first floor. Each bedroom is furnished with luxurious 2x single beds with single duvets. The second bedroom upstairs is reached via the first bedroom. There is WiFi (fiber optic) and TV (with HDMI connection). The bathroom (ground floor) has a shower, sink and 2nd toilet. Towels are provided.

The place
The house is located on a historic property of 1.5 hectares with a monumental farm. The holiday home faces south and our monumental farm faces north, so you have optimal privacy and an unobstructed view. Beautiful walking or cycling tours directly from home to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Achterhoek. The cycling distance to the village of Aalten (with shops, restaurants and the Hiding Museum) is only 10 minutes. Visit the historic book town of Bredevoort or cozy Winterswijk with its extensive range of shops and Saturday market. Just across the German border is Bocholt, with a very good fresh produce market. If you feel like swimming or SUPing, the Slingeplas near Bredevoort is ideal, where you can also laze on the sunbathing lawns, which can be reached in fifteen minutes by bike. Or go to the Aalten swimming pool or Bahia swimming paradise just across the border in Germany. In the house you will find an extensive information folder with cycling and walking maps, tips for restaurants, museums and children's activities.

After living in the Randstad for years, we, Jan and Ingrid, enjoy the beautiful Achterhoek in this beautiful place together with our chickens and dog. We hope that our guests experience that same tranquility and enjoy the beauty of the landscape. We find privacy for our guests very important.

Cancellation policy:

If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
If you cancel up to the 42nd day before the start of the stay, the cancellation costs amount to 30% of the travel sum
If you cancel from the 42nd to the 28th day before the start of the stay, the cancellation costs are 60%
of the travel price.
If you cancel from the 28th day to the first day of stay, the cancellation costs amount to 90% of the travel sum .
If you cancel on the first day of stay or later, the cancellation costs amount to 100% of the travel sum.
