The nature house is located in a beautiful forest and nature reserve on the border of the provinces of Friesland and Drenthe on the edge of the UNESCO nature reserve "Fochteloërveen". The historic prison village of Veenhuizen is just around the corner and is definitely worth a visit. This is part of the Colonies of Benevolence, which have been given World Heritage status by UNESCO. The pleasant ground-floor holiday home is in new condition (built in 2020) and has two bedrooms. Equipped with a modern kitchen with a combination microwave, gas stove and refrigerator with freezer. Also an insulated, lockable shed of 2.5x3m where you can store your bicycles, among other things. Outside you can enjoy the open terrace with garden furniture. The holiday home is well insulated, so it is also a great place to stay during the winter months. The tennis and pétanque courts are just a stone's throw away. There is also a restaurant at the holiday park. There are several supermarkets, shops and restaurants approximately 5 km away in Oosterwolde. The area is wooded. Appelscha, Roden, Norg, Eelde and Zuidlaren are nice places to visit. Each with its own sights and nice places to eat. A visit to the Wadden Islands is even possible. The cities of Assen, Groningen and Heerenveen are easily accessible and there are various nice cycling and walking routes in the area. Dogs and other pets are allowed.
