De Protter is a lovely holiday home, located directly on the water with its own jetty Around the house is a beautiful garden, completely fenced only at the jetty there is no fence. The garden has a lot of privacy. There is a terrace at both the front and the back so that you can usually sit out of the wind. The house is comfortable. The sitting room has a cozy sitting area with a fireplace and an open kitchen. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. There are games for children, and they can use an old surfboard and a canoe to paddle around in the harbour.
Exploring Friesland from the water and the road
There is a beach 150m away and smaller children can also sail or surf on the shallow sheltered lake. And of course you can swim endlessly and play in the water. There is a lot to do in the area. In addition to water sports, you can play golf, cycle, walk and visit beautiful places such as Langweer, Sloten, Joure, Sneek and Lemmer.
Sint-Nicolaasga is the perfect place for your daily shopping. On rainy days you can visit an indoor swimming pool (Joure, Sneek and Lemmer) or one of the many museums in the area. There is a very large playground in Oude Mirdum. If you or your children still need sailing or surfing lessons: a few hundred meters away is Sailing School Neptunes where lessons can be taken but where you can also rent a boat.
