Friesland Chalet

Grou is a centrally located village in Friesland. Grou has a unique location directly on the Pikmar (English: the Pikmeer) and the center is located on the shores of this lake. Grou is a nice and cozy water sports village with cozy shops and various restaurants, both on the Pikmar and in the village. From the Pikmar you can easily sail to all the Frisian Lakes, but you can also sail to the beautiful Alde Feanen National Landscape. In addition, you can drive to Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland, in just over fifteen minutes. Grou is described as pure and authentic, you can still enjoy a picturesque village center here. On the recreation island in Grou on the Pikmeer in Friesland, adjacent to the National Park, you will find peace and space. Our 6 person "Frieslandchalet" is located at park Yn'e Lijte in Grou. Surrounded by beautiful nature, water and cycling routes. Grou is centrally located in Friesland.

This place is an excellent base to further discover Friesland by boat, bicycle, car or on foot. On the east side is the beautiful nature park De Alde Feanen. In addition, Leeuwarden (15 km) is worth a visit! Or go by bike into the area and follow the "ferry route".

We have 2 sup boards available. There are also 2 (ladies) Gazelle bicycles for use. There is a beautiful playground on the island.
