This beautiful holiday home, Grou, is quietly located and allows its guests to relax.
From the house you have a panoramic view of the Pikmeer, the Princess Margriet Canal and the Burd polder, the beginning of the Alde Feanen National Park.

On the ground floor there are three bedrooms (one private) with two single beds, a bunk bed and a luxurious bathroom.
The spacious living room and kitchen are located on the top floor. Through the French doors you enter the adjacent balcony and enjoy the view of passing boats, the extensive polder the Burd and the ferry that takes cyclists to the other side.

You can store your own bicycles in the shed and cycle the famous round "de 8 van Grou".
There are many options for water sports in Grou, rent a sloop, SUP board or sailing boat.
In addition to water sports, Grou is known for its authentic center including the Saint Pîter church, nice terraces along the waterfront and delicious restaurants, cozy shops and strolling along the jetty boulevard along the Pikmeer.
Because the holiday home is located in the middle of the Frisian lake area, you can make endless trips, for example to Sneek, Leeuwarden or Drachten and Joure. The varied landscape of the Alde Feanen National Park offers a great wealth of plants and animals. More than 100 species of birds breed here.

We are Petra Bosch and Cor Kramer and have been enjoying our beautiful holiday home in Grou for many years with a wide view over the polder the "Burd" and the Pikmeer.
Every time we are here we enjoy the surroundings - sometimes by car, sometimes by bike when we cycle the famous ferry route "de 8 van Grou", or by boat when we enjoy all the lakes and canals in sailing. the Alde Faenen. You can also enjoy walking in Friesland, for example at Oranjewoud or Beetsterzwaag.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Additional costs (incl VAT)

Deposit for key, barrier tag and possibly. damage € 150,- (if no claim refund deposit, < 1 week after your stay. The heating costs in the period 1 October - 1 April will be deducted from the deposit)
Mandatory final cleaning € 115,-
Bed linen (mandatory) € 15 per person per stay
Waste levy & Tourist tax € 3.50 per person per night
Heating Surcharge Period 1 October - 1 April => € 15 per day (will be deducted from the deposit).

Arrival time = after 15.00
Departure time = before 10.00 am

If the renter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the renter must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.
