Our chalet is located on a friendly, small-scale campsite (Hoeve aan den Weg) with all associated facilities, in the middle of the Drents Friese would. Here the nights are still dark and quiet and you can really relax. There is so much to discover here!
You can step straight into the forest from the chalet, but you can also cycle or walk to the sand drifts, lakes, or other natural phenomena around you. Villages such as Diever and Appelscha are nearby where you can rent bicycles, do some shopping, or have a snack and a drink. But the Peat Colonies, Assen and also Giethoorn are also not far from the campsite and definitely worth a visit.
The Chalet is comfortably furnished, think of a (partly) covered terrace with lounge set, a picnic bench to eat outside in the sun (or on the terrace). The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, oven, freezer and refrigerator. There is a TV with Digitenne, where you can relax from the spacious sofa. There are 2 bedrooms, a master bedroom with a double bed (160x200) and in the 2nd bedroom there are 2 beds (90x200). To allow the children to sleep safely in bed, bed rails are also available (on request). Your beds are made and there will be plenty of towels available for your stay. Coffee and tea is available for you.
The campsite offers various facilities, such as a reception (buy a newspaper, information about the area..), a restaurant (also open in winter!), bread service, outdoor swimming pool, children's entertainment, playgrounds...
For young and old, with or without children, this place is suitable for everyone.
