The house is in a very quiet location, uphill outside the village, but still within walking distance of the center. Tuoro is a lively village, where you can enjoy delicious food at the local grocer, butcher and fishmonger. Even better is eating out in the various truly fantastic restaurants in and around Tuoro. There are many attractions nearby: of course there is the enchantingly beautiful Lake Trasimeno, surrounded by reed beds and old villages (Passignano, Castiglione, Monte del Lago) in a perfectly natural environment without high-rise buildings or crowds. Nearby, just across the border with Tuscany, the well-known Cortona is also more than worth a visit. Tuoro is also the ideal base to explore Umbria but also the south-east of Tuscany: Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto, Montefalco, Spello, Trevi, Bevagna, Montepulciano, Siena, Firenze, Montalcino, Citta della Pieve, Val d'Orcia , Gubbio, Spoleto, Norcia, ... are all easily accessible and all worth the trip. For those who want to drive a little further, a day at the sea (you can choose whether you want to go to the Adriatic or the Tyrrhenian Sea) or even to Rome is possible.
