On the grounds of Podere di Maggio, an area of more than 30 hectares between chestnut forests, streams and olive groves, we rent a wonderful detached house, surrounded by nature and with a beautiful view over the valley.
The old stone-built house with a floor space of almost 60 m2 has been lovingly renovated and can accommodate 2-4 people. The house is completely self-sufficient with a bedroom on the first floor and a bathroom, living room and kitchen on the ground floor. Adjacent to the living room there is a shaded terrace with barbecue and hammock. For the kitchen a 2nd terrace under a canopy, with a view of the sunset. The house offers maximum privacy and above all silence.
Around the house there is limitless space and lots of nature; a meeting with a deer, a fox, a badger or a porcupine is normal. The swimming pool is 50 meters from the house. There is also a fantastic swimming area in the river, a 10-minute walk from the house, whose water is spotless.
You can eat, in addition to your own house, in one of the small restaurants in the immediate area, where delicious regional dishes are served for a low price.
In addition to the beautiful Monte Amiata, an old extinct volcano, there is much to see in the immediate area. Fantastic medieval towns such as Sorano, Pitigliano, Arcidosso, Etruscan excavations and many nature parks. You will find various terms with warm water half an hour away.
A little further away, in an hour to an hour and a half you will find Siena, Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi and the beautiful Tyrrhenian coast with beautiful beaches.
