We wish you a warm welcome to our house in Buti.

The house has 8 bedrooms with fixed beds for 16 people. Cots and high chairs are available for small children. Extra sleeping places can be provided by placing camp beds. The rental price depends on the period and duration, special rates apply for small groups.

The village of Buti has an ancient Villa Medicea, a castle and a medieval residential area. The village is surrounded by the hills of Monte Pisano. The house offers a view of the village but also of the vast landscape of Tuscany and is located between the olive trees.

It has always been our dream to have our own place in Tuscany. Together with our Italian friends we turned a ruin into a cozy and cozy home. A house with the typical Italian cosiness and the beauty of the Tuscan landscape.

Enjoy the mild climate, the cooling private swimming pool and the home-made dishes from the Italian kitchen.

Food, that's what the Italians are all about! Great to make your own Italian dishes in the spacious kitchen. We therefore prefer to buy the typical Italian ingredients in the village, or simply at the supermarket where the choices are often wider than in the Netherlands. Experienced Italy-goers will confirm this.

In the morning we walk in ten minutes through the olive trees to the bakery in the village to get fresh bread rolls for breakfast. Baking your own pizzas in the original outdoor oven is one of the possibilities... It does require some skill to be a good pizza baker.

Don't feel like cooking yourself? Just as easily we visit one of the many restaurants in Buti. High quality for little money. There are a dozen of them in this small town with a population of about 5,000.

The cities of Pisa and Lucca are just around the corner, within half an hour we are in front of the leaning tower or on a terrace on Piazza Anfiteatro. Within 40 minutes we are lying with the whole group on the beach on the Mediterranean Sea at Viareggio, for example, or we are looking for cooling on the flanks of the Apennines.

Within a radius of an hour's drive we find a surprising number of beautiful medieval villages and towns in the hilly landscape. The Cinque Terre, Volterra, Siena and Florence are within 1 hour's driving distance. Along the coastline south of Livorno we can find a small hidden beach to enjoy the gentle waves of the Mediterranean Sea.

We can also go back to the times of the Romans or even further away, the Etruscans. Many historical buildings and excavations from the Roman and Etruscan periods can be found in the immediate vicinity. We are happy to give you specific tips on request.

The house can be reached from the Netherlands within half a day! You can easily fly from many European capitals to Pisa from where it is only a half hour drive to Buti. Price-fighting airlines fly almost daily from Eindhoven and Amsterdam to Pisa Airport.
