House with private pool 40km from the sea

The house is located in a beautiful area of Tuscany, surrounded by hills with olive trees and green pines. The location of the house - very panoramic - at an altitude of about 300m above the sea, guarantees a mild and pleasant climate in every season. It is a quiet location that also offers privacy to the tenant. The holiday house is located about 1.5 km from the historic village of Buti, it is an old farmhouse that has been converted, partly using the original building materials (terracotta, wood, stone) and furnished with antique furniture according to the tradition of the region. The house has a 10x4 meter swimming pool, for the private use of the tenant. At the front of the house is a terrace with table and chairs for outdoor dining. Barbecue and stone oven available for cooking. From the pool and terrace you have a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding hills and the village of Buti. Wi-fi internet connection available on request. Shops, restaurants and bars can be found in the village of Buti. Minimarket and bakery are present on the central square (Piazza Garibaldi) of Buti, the market is also held here on Monday morning. Recommended restaurants/pizzeria: Al vecchio molino, Le mangiatoie da Tormento, Trattoria Pacci, La Grotta, I maggi. Tennis court available 7 km away near Bientina. Nice and beautiful cities in the area (all reachable in max. 1 hour): the nearby Lucca and Bagni di Lucca, San Miniato and Piazza dei miracoli in Pisa. Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano and Certaldo to the south/southeast. The beautiful villages of Lerici and Portovenere on the coast in southern Liguria. For a day at the sea (sandy beaches) Forte dei Marmi or Viareggio. At 1h30 drive the mountainous area of Garfagnana north of Lucca and at 2 hours the mountain Abetone 1400-1900 meters, in winter it is also possible to ski there or - in summer - to walk in the woods.

Access road:
Please note that the road from Buti to the house (1.5 km in total) consists of 500 meters of steep road with 3 hairpin bends and 900 meters of gravel road. So we don't recommend coming with sports cars or caravans. With the exception of Ferrari and other similar sports cars, it is no problem to drive other cars there. The road is one lane for 700 meters and narrows for the last 200 metres. If you encounter another car, one of them must return to the first available space. The road is used by the owners/guests of 5 houses so it is a low traffic road. The driver should have a minimum of familiarity with the car's maneuvers.
