Orchid 3

Orchidea (the 'villa') consists of 6 apartments, 2 apartments per floor. Ours is on the 1st floor. 

You enter the very well equipped kitchen. From the kitchen you can go to the living room or to a small hall where the modern bathroom and bedroom open. Both the bedroom and the living room are adjacent to the spacious terrace. 

Free Wifi is available in the apartment. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, an oven, a dishwasher, a four-burner gas stove and various options for making coffee (Nespresso, filter coffee, percolator) or tea. 

In the living room is the TV, a comfortable (sleeping) sofa and chairs and a compact closet in case the living room is also used as a bedroom. The bathroom has a combination of a handheld shower and a rain shower. The bedroom has a bed with electric high/low settings and three closets. 

The spacious terrace has 2 tables, 4 garden chairs with cushions and a parasol.

From the terrace you look through the park to Lake Lugano. You can swim in the lake, but there is also the possibility to canoe or sup, for example. In high season, sun loungers and parasols can be rented and there is the possibility to have a drink. 

In the main building ('palazzo') there is a restaurant, a hairdresser's salon, an ice cream shop and a bar. Porlezza is located in the foothills of the Alps, in the Italian Lake District. There are excellent cycling and walking opportunities. Lugano, Como, Menaggio, are larger cities nearby, Milan is 90 kilometers from Porlezza.
