Charaso is a beautiful old mountain village with about 40 inhabitants and is located at an altitude of 453 meters. In Charaso itself you will not find a supermarket, bakery or tavern.

Because Charaso is high up, you have beautiful views of the sea and the mountains from various sides. From Villa Raki you can take beautiful mountain walks, through the olive groves and beautiful nature. Take a walk to the old stone mills.

The capital Heraklion and the airport are a 30-minute drive away. Pano Gouves is a 10-minute drive away, where you can find 2 mini markets, several taverns and an authentic bakery. Kato Gouves, a 15-minute drive away, is a pleasant seaside resort with sandy beaches, shops, taverns, supermarkets and even a small boulevard.

Villa Raki has recently been renovated and the original elements of the house have been preserved. It is fully equipped for 8 people.
The 120m3 spacious house has a large terrace with BBQ and a roof terrace with sun beds.
Villa Raki has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, separate toilet, and storage room with washing machine.

The terrace with BBQ has 2 outdoor tables, 2 parasols and 8 garden chairs (can be expanded with 4 garden chairs from the balcony).

First floor:
- bedroom 2, very spacious, air conditioning and ceiling fan, double bed (180x220) and wardrobe.
- bedroom 3, air conditioning and ceiling fan, double bed (180x220), wardrobe and balcony with seating.
- bedroom 4, air conditioning and ceiling fan, 2 separate beds (90x200), wardrobe and balcony with seating.
- bathroom with rain shower, vanity unit, toilet, electric design radiator and hairdryer.
- access to the spacious roof terrace with 2 sunbeds and parasol.

Hot water supply by means of a solar boiler.

We are Manos, Linda, Timo and Sandra. Sister, brother, brother-in-law, sister-in-law: family.
In 2021 we bought the ruins of Pappous (grandfather) Mandylakis to turn it into a villa. The house was dilapidated, the roof collapsed and had been vacant for more than 30 years. We put the finishing touches to the furnishings in March 2024.

Raki, Crete's traditional drink, has become a symbol of friendliness and hospitality on the island. You will certainly experience "filoxenia" in Villa Raki!

Explanation of prices

If the tenant wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the tenant must always confirm this to the landlord by e-mail (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example).
The landlord charges the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge

cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price

cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price

cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only on the start date or during the rental period
informs you that you will no longer use the rented property
he owes the full rental price.
