Cottage Eulenheim is a detached cottage, with spacious living cellar, in the village of Ohlenhard in the Eifel in Germany. The ground floor is accessible via a metal staircase. There is also a covered stone staircase to the basement from the outside.
The cottage is located on a cul-de-sac in a spacious garden. Lots of space around the house gives a wonderful feeling of peace.
It is a simple, but complete cottage suitable for 4 people/family. For an additional fee, a 5th guest can sleep in the basement. There is a 2nd bathroom.
The cottage has 1 large bedroom with a double bed, and a 2nd small bedroom with 2 narrow single beds (70 cm wide). A spacious hallway provides access to the bathroom with bath, and to the living room with patio doors to a spacious sun terrace.
The basement can be reached from the outside. There is a bathroom and option for sleeping a 5th person. In the basement there is a dartboard and extra garden chairs for a place of your choice. The cushions for the garden sets are also located here.
There is a spacious garden all around with lots of grass, flowers and sun and shade areas. Next to the cottage is a covered terrace. There are garden sets in various places. There is a hammock on stand. There is also a 3-legged hanging barbecue and a fire pit.
The cottage is not suitable if you have difficulty walking due to the stairs to the ground floor. And not equipped for small children. The advice is to come with children from about 5 years old. For older children there is a trampoline and football field. And in the house there are games, reading books, coloring books and a darts game. For outside there is a football, badminton, frisbee etc.
The cottage is intended for those seeking peace and quiet. On Sundays, Sunday rest reigns in the village.
There is Wi-Fi in the house, but no internet and no telephony. You can call via whatsapp or on the mountain.
In the garden is a trampoline, next to the cottage a football field and playground. Parking is available on site at a dead end street. Suitable for about 4 cars.
The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, 2 burner induction stove, oven, small microwave, refrigerator and small freezer. In fact, all the basic accessories are present, so that it becomes a complete whole.
We also enjoy this house ourselves, so you will find a personal house that is in full development. Our thought is to let others enjoy too, without guests having to think about a utility bill, bedding, and more. The price is all in: so including gas, water and electricity, linen, bed linen, final cleaning and wifi. Everything is there and can be used. Also the basic items such as toilet paper, kitchen ingredients and bath foam and so on. We trust that everyone will handle this opportunity and our belongings carefully, and supplement them where necessary, so that it is pleasant for everyone.
Smoking is really forbidden in the house. Smoking outside is no problem. Pets are not allowed.

It is beautiful walking in the immediate vicinity in all seasons. Cyclists should take into account the height differences. In the immediate vicinity is a lot of nature, culture and history. Beautiful towns such as Trier and Monschau are about an hour away. Luxembourg is also about 1.5 hours away from the hotel. There are plenty of sports facilities in the area, such as a golf course, swimming pool and recreational lake. The Nürburgring is not far away, and you can go cross-country skiing and skiing at a reasonable distance.
It is a quiet, small village where there is nothing to be found except peace and nature. A village further down the road has a village shop that is very complete and affordable. Fresh bread rolls can be obtained here. The shop has long opening hours because it works on a self-service basis. Next to it is a gas station.
In the cottage there is a guestbook with the findings of previous guests. It contains great tips for doing business. There are also magazines, leaflets and maps of the area.
The arrival and departure are contact-free. The key is ready on location. After departure there is cleaning so that is taken off your hands. The final cleaning includes the rental price.
Because we regularly stay in the house ourselves, it is a personal house. We are also slowly optimizing things. We are therefore open to tips and fun ideas.
