Welcome to our authentic detached French house with typical features of the region such as the thick "en pierre" walls in the living room and bedrooms. Great for two, but also ideal as a family home. Don't forget the dog! At the front an unobstructed view over the hills, at the back the large garden with always a spot in the sun or shade. Rated with 3 *** since 2019.

In addition, the house has an air conditioner that can both cool and heat.
Internet is available in the form of 4G Wifi.

The luxurious sleeping area for 2 is located on the floating mezzanine above the living room.
Through the patio doors you can walk straight into the garden to the rear of the house. Lots of space to lounge together and with a wonderful view over the hills.

Through a small conservatory you immediately enter the cozy large kitchen with work island and large dining table. There is a washing machine and if it is a bit cooler, there is a nice wood stove. The kitchen is equipped with washing machine, oven, 4-burner gas hob, coffee machine, large fridge with freezer compartment, toaster and small food processor.

The house has 1 bathroom on the ground floor with shower and sink and a 2nd bathroom on the 1st floor with shower, toilet and sink.

At the front of the house an incredibly beautiful view over the hills. At the back a large mature garden with grassland, tall trees, lots of privacy and always sun and shade areas.
In the garden a garden set with 4 chairs, 2 sun loungers and a large wooden lounge area. BBQ is of course available.

Explanation of prices

The holiday home can be rented from April to October. In the months of July and August we only rent per whole week, in principle from Saturday 4:00 PM to Saturday 10:00 AM.
Arriving or departing on a different day is possible in consultation.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

twelve mountain bike trails depart from St. Saulge. For the untrained cyclist, the route along the canal of Nivernais is a must, along picturesque lockguard houses. The many locks are still operated by the residents of these houses by hand.
For hikers there are infinitely beautiful marked routes through the rolling landscape. Both for the climbers and for the lover of the more flat routes. Even a bit of the route to Santiago de Compastella is possible, 10 km north of St. Franchy.
The Etang du Merle swimming lake is 4 km away. The larger lake Etang de Baye and Vaux offers opportunities for sailing, surfing or small boat rentals. On the Loire there are places for renting a canoe, but also in the town of Limanton you can make beautiful trips on the river Aron.
Music, theater, film, vintage festivals etc. are sufficient in the region. Often with fireworks shows at the end of the party. The local VVV in St. Saulge and Premery have a lot of information about it
The area can be nicely tapped. For the wines we are 50 km from Pouilly on the Loire and Sancerre. Also the region of the goat cheese grottin du chavignol. Coming via the N77 towards our holiday home you will pass the Chablis region with excellent white wines, as well as the Crémant de Bourgogne.
in the summer months every village has its own brocante with village party. The large brocante of Corbigny is every year in August. A brochure with all the brocantes of the Niévre is present in the house.
