This simple but cozy gîte is located in the heart of the Morvan, where you are surrounded by nature. From the garden you look out over the valley with a varied panorama of forests, hedges and meadows. In the nearby village (2 minutes) there is a bakery where you can get delicious fresh bread and 5 minutes away is Lac de Pannecière, where you can swim, fish, canoe and sup. Hikers and (trained) cyclists can indulge themselves with the many routes in the immediate vicinity.
You enter the cozy living room with a loft, which gives the whole a spacious feeling. In the living room there is a dining table with a view of the garden and a sitting area with a lovely sofa to sink into. You enter the kitchen through the living room. This is completely furnished in country style and fully equipped. For the kitchen prince(ss) and who want to cook for themselves during holiday, there is a luxurious hob with wok burner and a small oven. And because few people like washing dishes, there is a dishwasher. From the kitchen you reach the spacious bathroom, which is also decorated in a country style. The bathroom is equipped with a bath where you can also shower (low entry). Via the miller's staircase in the living room you reach the loft and the open bedroom with a comfortable double bed (160x200). After all, you can only really relax with a good night's sleep. The gîte has a spacious garden that is completely fenced, so that your four-legged friend can romp around. The garden is oriented to the west, so at the end of the day you can enjoy the most spectacular sunsets. The large walnut tree at the foot of the garden ensures that you keep a cool head even on hot days.
Maisonette Saperlipopette is located on a dead end street, in a small hamlet in the middle of the Morvan nature park. You are surrounded by nature and look out over the valley, where you can see forests, hedges and meadows scattered over the hilly landscape. With a bit of luck you can also see deer, foxes and other wild animals walking between the cows and sheep.
Montigny-en-Morvan is 2 minutes away. A bakery/grocery store is located here, where you can get other necessities in addition to delicious fresh bread and pastries. The village also has a well-attended bar-restaurant, where you can enjoy live music every weekend during the summer months. Various hiking trails start from the village and lead you through the fields, forests and hamlets in the vicinity of Montigny. Ideal for walkers and nature lovers.
5 minutes away is Lake Pannecière, a beautiful reservoir where you can enjoy swimming, canoeing, supping or fishing. Other lakes, such as Lake Setton and Chaumeçon, are about a 30-minute drive away. The nearest town of Chateau-Chinon, where you can go for your groceries, but also find nice restaurants and shops, is about a 15-minute drive away. Larger towns such as Avallon, Vezelay, Autun and Nevers are within a 60 minute drive.
