In the middle of the Morvan nature park, in a quiet valley near the village of Montigny-en-Morvan, you will find the comfortable and cozy Maison La Berce. The beautiful, detached holiday home has a rustic appearance, but is fully equipped and offers the opportunity to completely relax and enjoy nature to the fullest.
You enter a spacious living room with a comfortable seating area, a spacious dining area and a large authentic fireplace for the colder days. From the living room you enter the hall that gives access to the kitchen, bathroom and the stairs to the upper floor. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and equipped with all modern conveniences, so that every kitchen prince can indulge himself or herself and clean-up is a breeze. You can enjoy the view of the garden from the kitchen table and you can step onto the terrace through the back door. The garden is completely fenced, so that children and four-legged friends can romp around.
The bathroom is equipped with a spacious shower, a sink for all morning and evening rituals and of course a toilet. The top floor consists of two spacious bedrooms, the first of which can be reached via the stairs in the hall. When you enter the rooms you are greeted by an immense sense of space and the beautiful authentic beams of the house. You reach the second bedroom via the first bedroom. Both are equipped with a double bed (160x200 and 180x200), a wardrobe and a comfortable seat.
Maison La Berce is located near an intersection on a dead end street, so there is little traffic. Behind the garden is a traditional farm with cows and sheep. In the summer these are on the land, but you are occasionally treated to a parade past the front door when the farmer moves his animals from one pasture to another. Farm sounds can be heard, but there is no nuisance from installations or odors.
In Montigny-en-Morvan (1.5 km) there is a bakery/grocer where you can buy delicious fresh bread and pastries. The village also has a well-attended bar-restaurant, where you can enjoy live music every weekend during the summer months. Several hiking trails start from the village, ideal for hikers and nature lovers.
Lake Pannecière is 3 km away: the largest reservoir in the Morvan, where you can swim, canoeing, SUPing and fishing. Other lakes, such as Lake Setton and Chaumeçon, are approximately 30 minutes' drive away. The nearest town is Chateau-Chinon, where you can do your shopping. This is about a 15 minute drive. Larger cities such as Avallon, Vezelay, Autun and Nevers can be reached within a 60-minute drive.
