La Maison Les Moulins A holiday home on the 'Lac de Panneciere' Located in the Morvan nature park, in the heart of Burgundy, is this wonderful holiday home with a beautiful view of the lake and the hills. Les Moulins is a tiny hamlet/hamlet, that belongs to the municipality of Corancy. You can do your daily shopping in Chateau-Chinon, where you can find supermarkets (Lidl and B1), a pharmacy, bakery, terraces and various other shops. In addition to relaxing in and around the house, the following activities are possible.

You can swim, canoe and fish in the lake (permit required)
On the other side of the lake is a cozy campsite where a fun music evening with live music and food is organized twice a week in high season. Everyone is welcome! (a Burgundian evening on Tuesday and a pizza evening on Thursday, due to crowds it is advisable to reserve this during the day for the time at which you want to eat, you can do this at the campsite)
In the wooded area you have the opportunity to cycle, mountain bike and walk
You can also go horse riding in the area
At weekends there are often flea markets in the area, where you can find nice trinkets and often have a snack and a drink. On which days and where these brocantes are available, you can find out in the agenda in the house.
There are many different cities in the area with a rich history, including Vezelay, Autun, Nevers, Dijon and Beaune, for example, in the latter you can visit an old hospice (information in 4 languages)

What can you expect from the house: The house is suitable for 4 people. Fully equipped kitchen with:

Bathroom: Modern and spacious bathroom with shower, toilet, sink with cupboard. Outside: You have access to a large balcony of 2 meters x 11 meters, from which you have a beautiful view over the lake and the hills. There is also a lovely shady seating area in the garden under the trees. There is also a barbecue available. Parking: You have access to a spacious private parking space. Arrival/departure: The house is rented for a minimum of one week from Saturday to Saturday.

You can move into the house from 4:00 PM and on the day of departure you must leave the house by 9:30 AM at the latest.

We Ferry and Scarlett Melchers have been the happy owners of this house since January 2024. After a complete renovation, we can rent out the house if we cannot use it ourselves.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Rent incl. bed and kitchen linen for 1st week.
Bring your own bath towels.

Terms and conditions: You can make a reservation by filling in the reservation form, which can be found under the tab: availability and contact. Upon receipt of your reservation, you will receive a confirmation from us with the invoice for a deposit of 25% of the booking amount. You must transfer the amount to us within 5 days, so that we can finalize your reservation. The remainder of the rent must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of the rental period. For reservations within 6 weeks before the rental period, the total rent must be paid immediately after receipt of the confirmation and invoice.

Deposit: The deposit must be paid in advance with the rent. We assume that you leave the gîte/chambre as you found it on arrival. If it is found upon departure that there is no damage or loss, the amount of the deposit will be transferred to you within 2 weeks. If the deposit is insufficient in the event of damage, the tenant must pay the additional amount.

Landlord's liability: The stay on our site is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept any liability for damage or inconvenience that has occurred on our site. Should it be necessary to carry out a repair, we reserve the right to enter the rented property and carry out the work.

Cancellation: In case of cancellations more than 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, the deposit will be refunded with deduction of € 25.00 administration costs. In case of cancellation within 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, we cannot make a refund.

We advise you to take out full travel and cancellation insurance.
