Looking for a holiday in peace and intimacy, without a sense of time or time?

In our idyllically located holiday home for 2 people it is Sunday every day!

You can find us in Authiou, a sympathetic hamlet in the Nièvre, a slightly less known and populated region in the south-east of Burgundy, Central France.

An ideal destination for those who want to de-energize and are looking for simplicity in abundance! The region is very inviting for nature lovers, birdwatchers, hikers and silence seekers. Enjoy the authentic countryside with rolling views, wooded ridges and quiet villages with hidden castles.

Together with the two neighbouring hamlets, we have only 49 inhabitants and we belong to the arrondissement of Clamecy, a medieval and dynamic town on the edge of the Morvan and close to the beautiful Canal du Nivernais with its 110 charming locks operated manually, a nice experience!

The cottage is next to our house, is completely detached and has its own guest garden on the other side of the narrow country road.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

In case of cancellation up to 90 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: free of charge
In case of cancellation from 90 days (inclusive) to 42 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 42 days (inclusive) to 28 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 28 days (inclusive) to 14 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 75% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 14 days (inclusive) before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price
If the tenant only announces on the day of the start of the rental period or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, the tenant will continue to owe the full rent.

The invigorating and pure air gives you breathing space, in all seasons!

A trip to the trout farm is a must, you can have lunch along the water (summer season)

Boating or rather picnicking along the shore? It's all possible along this wonderful canal!

The Canal du Nivernais (only 20km away and the little sister of Canal du Midi) with its dozens of small locks that are operated manually meanders through the quiet landscape and offers the perfect opportunity for walks and bike rides along the banks or romantic boat trips.
