The valley of the Dordogne river is famous for its picturesque villages and the varied landscape of forests, meadows, hedgerows, hedgerows and streams.
What could be more fun than exploring this fairytale area from your own petit château? On the estate of Manoir Issartoux there is one holiday home that has everything for a comfortable stay. From the breakfast table in the cozy living room you can observe the birds in the forest. In the tower there are two cozy bedrooms, each with a lovely double bed. The bathroom has a shower and toilet, and the separate kitchen is fully and carefully equipped.
The 9 x 4.5 meter swimming pool is exclusively for our guests — a place where you can enjoy peace and complete privacy undisturbed. The holiday home is equipped with a stable, fast fiber optic connection, television and streaming service.
Cross the quiet country road and you will walk onto ancient paths, wedged between hedges and hedgerows, which take you past watermills and country houses. You walk through flowering meadows and fairytale hillside forests with springs and streams. At the end of the walk you get fresh bread from the bakery who still bakes in a wood oven. In spring, the grounds are filled with hundreds of flowering orchids, and in summer, the butterflies steal the show — wonderful to be enchanted by their splendour of colour on a lazy afternoon in the flower meadow.
And if you feel like culture, you don't have to go far. Within a radius of only a few kilometres around Issartoux, there are several of the most beautiful villages that make up the prestigious list of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France.
Hiking, cycling, horseback riding, town sightseeing or just lazing by the pool, it's all possible here.
