Le Petit Bonheur

Located near Sancerre, declared 'La Village Préféré des Français 2021', is the holiday home Le Petit Bonheur; also an ideal base for visiting Briare, Bourges and Orleans. The landscape is rolling, hilly with beautiful views. The address 10 Rue du Val de Loire is in the center of the village of Santranges, in the valley of the Loire. It is a detached house with a spacious and simple garden between the houses of the village. You can relax in the leafy garden.

Le Petit Bonheur is very suitable for a wonderful retreat. Hiking, visiting towns, viewing vineyards and tasting wine, especially in Sancerre and Menetou Salon. When it gets a bit cooler, it is wonderful to stay in the house with the electric heating and the cozy wood stove.

It is a French house, entrance door in the middle, left and right a window. On the left is the large kitchen, about 5x5 meters, kitchen with refrigerator, induction hob, dishwasher and double sink. Near the kitchen is a dining table for 4 people and near the cozy wood stove, the 3 seater sofa and armchair.

On the right side of the house is the bedroom with a fireplace, beautiful earthenware floor, linen cupboard and chest of drawers, a double bed 160x200 and a desk for your computer, telephone and all other things that need to be charged, and possibly a quiet workplace. And of course a comfortable armchair, which is part of the fireplace.

In line with the entrance door is the hallway to the toilet, bathroom and garden bedroom. And the door to the garden.
The garden is 240m2, a beautiful terrace with a nice garden set, under a roof in the sunny part of the garden.
Behind the white fence is the spacious shady garden with a large cherry tree, an apple tree and a plum tree. If you hit it, you may reap all the rewards. The part at the back of the garden borders on a castle garden. There is cool shade under the leafy trees, great for reading your favorite book with a glass of cool Sancerre at hand. There is a wide garden bench with a rustic table. The garden is rural, even woody.

The bedroom is 3.40mtr x 3.00mtr, there are 2 beds of 80x200, which can be used separately or together. Lits jumeaux in French style, with 2 bedside tables, lamps, a place to hang your clothes and an open cupboard to store your clothes.
Next to the bedroom is the bathroom, 3 mtr x 1.60 mtr, with a spacious shower, spacious sink and washing machine.
The toilet is separate, near the shower. The entire house is on one level.

Spring from the 1st of March to the end of May is beautiful. All the trees are in bloom, the bushes are green and the sun is already warm. It doesn't matter which way you drive, each direction has its own characteristics. Around mid-May, the heat sets in and summer sets in, which lasts until October. In the summer, the house stays nice and cool inside.
When the weather is gloomy, you can take a car and make a tour or visit a city.

Thanks to the very good internet connection, the place is very suitable for teleworking.

My parents-in-law live nearby, so they take care of the reception of the guests and the maintenance of the house. They live 25 km from Santranges, in the water town of Briare (also worth a visit), so they are close by to help you in case of need.
