The old farmhouse is located on the outskirts of the small farming village of Beaufol, near the charming town of Sancerre. Sancerre is known, above all, for its white dry wines, which you can taste everywhere.
From August 29, 2026 to September 5, 2026, I offer the house for 695 euros per week, excluding additional costs.
You have a great view over a rolling valley. During all seasons, this view is unique, beautiful and different every day. The house is located on a mountain ridge and the (deciduous tree) forests in the valley. As a result, there is no danger of forest fires. On the various terraces you can enjoy the peace and space. The large garden faces south and has a wide and overwhelming view from every spot. There are also special birds to spot. In spring and autumn cranes, the hoopoe and the bee-eater as summer visitors and the woodlark can be heard singing until autumn. In addition, there are many butterflies including the swallowtail and the colibri butterfly. In the spring you can enjoy the fresh greenery and the many wild roadside plants. The summer is often hot and then there is a swimming pool for cooling. Autumn is also special, because of the view of Bois de Fontenaille, which has beautiful autumn colors. The winters have been mild in recent years and it can be sunny but also foggy (unfortunately).
The cottage is equipped with a lot of comfort. It has a dishwasher, a spacious fridge-freezer, a washing machine and dryer, TV with Chrome cast and of course wifi. Basic items, such as salt, pepper, spices, dishwashing cubes and detergents are provided. You can use it for free, but I do ask you to replace it when it runs out. There are two separate sleeping areas, a kitchen and an attractive sitting/bedroom. Both bathrooms have a toilet and shower and one bathroom has a bath. There are electric heaters and there are two wood stoves to heat the house.
It is a farming environment where tourism is not yet very common. A beautiful area for hikers, birdwatchers, cyclists and nature lovers. In Sancerre and Cosne sur Loire there are a number of nice shops and restaurants to visit. In Cosne sur Loire there is a market twice a week. This Loire region is mainly wine-made and is known for the Sancerre and the Coteaux du Giennois, Menetou Salon and the Pouilly-fume. You can go wine tasting at various wine merchants and winegrowers.
From June to the autumn holidays in October you can use the swimming pool. During this period I do not rent the house to families with children. This pool is not heated!

This house is also booked by dog owners, but of course the house is well cleaned after their departure. The booking conditions state that every dog must be treated against fleas and ticks.
You must bring your own bed, bath and kitchen linen.
