Les Chambres de la Closerie

La Closerie is a former hotel-restaurant from 1887 in the heart of France and the village of Saint-Didier-sur-Rochefort.

A few steps from the cafe, opposite a medieval
church, this unique place has retained its appearance
“transit hotel” that it was for a century.

There are 7 en suite rooms available.

The 450 m2 building with thick walls is covered with oriental vine
and with its walled garden offers a green cocoon that offers peace and tranquility
radiates.

Our village has been chosen by the League for the Protection of Birds
to offer a safe nest to swallows and swifts in the region.
During the day, different species of birds chirp in the sky, at night
calls the owl in the distance in the forest.

Saint-Didier-Sur-Rochefort is also a “star village”, a label for it
the protection of the air and the nighttime environment. The
street lights turn off at 11 p.m. and for people coming from the city
come, the silent, nighttime experience is wonderful.

The area is a low mountain range. Saint Didier sur Rochefort is located at an altitude of 700 meters. The climate is therefore cooler than in the valleys of Lyon or Clermont-Ferrant.
The area is an ideal walking and cycling area. The roads are good and the paths are beautiful through forests and meadows. The Chemin de Montaigne runs past the house, the GR 89, a walking route from Limoge to Lyon.
