WELCOME TO LE PETIT TEMPLAR
Le Petit Templar is a characteristic old town house in the heart of Sancerre. An attractive place for 4 to 5 people, ideal for couples, a small family or friends who want to experience the wine region and French life up close.
Here you don't stay somewhere outside the village, but in the middle of the streets, wineries, restaurants and terraces of Sancerre. In the morning you walk to the bakery, during the day you discover the vineyards and in the evening you can sit down at a restaurant or enjoy a good glass of local wine.
A HOUSE WITH CHARACTER
Le Petit Templar is an authentic house with the charm of an old house in Sancerre. The property has two bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate 4 people, with the possibility of a fifth guest.
The house is practically furnished for a relaxing stay of a few days, a weekend or a longer holiday. You have everything at hand here, while at the same time staying in the middle of one of the most beautiful wine towns in the Loire region.
SANCERRE ON YOUR FEET
One of the biggest advantages of Le Petit Templar is its location. From the house you can walk straight through the historic streets of Sancerre. Discover small wine shops, taste local products, visit the Tour des Fiefs or find a terrace with a view over the vineyards and the Loire Valley.
Sancerre is famous for its Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, but the town itself is just as attractive. Narrow streets, old facades, small squares and beautiful views create a special atmosphere.
WINE, GASTRONOMY AND LOCAL PRODUCTS
The surrounding vineyards invite you to taste and discover. Many winegrowers like to welcome visitors for a dégustation. Chavignol, known for the famous Crottin de Chavignol, is also nearby.
In addition to Sancerre, the wine regions of Pouilly-Fumé and Menetou-Salon are also easy to visit. Along the way, you'll pass small villages, local markets, and producers where you'll get to know the real France.
MORE THAN JUST WINE
Even those who do not come exclusively for the wine have plenty of options. The Loire is close by for canoeing, cycling, hiking and relaxing by the water. Bourges is a beautiful destination for a day of culture, with the imposing Saint-Étienne cathedral, historic streets and the Palais Jacques Cœur.
Lovers of arts and crafts can head for La Borne, the famous ceramics village, and the special Cathédrale de Jean Linard. In the area there are also castles, flea markets, markets and numerous quiet country roads to explore without haste.
WHO IS LE PETIT TEMPLAR FOR?
Le Petit Templar is especially suitable for guests who like to stay in the middle of French life. Not a large holiday complex, but a private place in a historic town where you can discover everything on foot.
It is a great base for a romantic weekend, a wine trip with friends, a few days of gastronomy or a longer holiday in which you want to get to know Sancerre and the Berry.
We have been devoted to this region for years and are happy to share Le Petit Tempelier with guests who, like us, love France, wine, good food, old towns and the relaxed rhythm of local life.
