The old farmhouse is located on the outskirts of the small farming village of Beaufol, near the charming town of Sancerre. Sancerre is known for, above all, its white dry wines, which you can taste everywhere.
The view over the rolling valley is not the same every day. From one of the sun loungers on the wooden terrace you can enjoy the peace, the space, the garden of 2000 m2 and a wide and overwhelming view. There are also special birds to spot. In spring and autumn, cranes, the hoopoe and the bee-eater as summer guests and the woodlark can be heard singing until autumn. In addition, there are many butterflies, including the king's and king's swallowtail and the colibri butterfly.
The cottage is equipped with a lot of comfort. It has a dishwasher, a spacious fridge-freezer, a washing machine and dryer, TV with Chrome cast and of course wifi. Basic items, such as salt, pepper, spices, dishwashing cubes and detergents are available. You can use it for free, but I would ask you to replace it when it runs out. There are two separate bedrooms, a kitchen and a cozy sitting/bedroom. Both bathrooms have a toilet and shower and one bathroom has a bath. There are two wood-burning stoves to heat the house.
Around the cottage are a number of terraces where you can sit sheltered. It is a farming environment where tourism is not yet very common. A beautiful area for walkers, bird watchers, cyclists and nature lovers. In Sancerre and Cosne sur Loire there are a number of nice shops and restaurants to visit. In Cosne sur Loire there is a market twice a week. This Loire region is mainly home to wine making and is known for the Sancerre and the Coteaux du Giennois, Menetou Salon and the Pouilly-fume. You can go wine tasting at various wine merchants and winegrowers.
From June until the autumn holidays in October you can use the swimming pool. During this period I do not rent out the house to families with children. This pool is not heated!
The cottage is an old house in the campaign.
This house is also booked by dog owners, but of course the house is cleaned after their departure . The booking conditions state that every dog must be treated against fleas and ticks.
You must bring your own bed, bath and kitchen linen.
