This sunny apartment for up to 8 people is located on the ground floor of a former hotel with a spacious terrace, south-facing garden , and a beautiful view. It is an ideal location for a winter sports holiday. La Panthiaz Ski Lift is 200 metres from the apartment. In winter, there is a cross-country ski track and hiking trails in front of the door and sled dogs are driven. In the summer there are several hiking trails and cycling/mountain biking trails in the immediate vicinity and throughout the valley.
This is an ideal apartment for a winter sports holiday. The telecabine La Panthiaz is within walking distance of the apartment. This lift takes you to Le Braitaz with all the lifts of the 'Portes du Soleil' ski area. This area with 650 km of slopes and 200 lifts guarantees fantastic skiing/boarding for both beginners and advanced winter sports enthusiasts. With the ski bus in front of the door , you can also quickly reach the other large ski lifts of Chatel and Linga. A large part of the ski area is equipped with snow cannons and offers a high degree of snow security. The winter sports season in Portes du Soleil is from December 16, 2023 to April 21, 2024. In addition to activities in the ski area, there are also opportunities for beautiful snow hikes in the nature reserves around the Mont de Grange and in and around the Valley of Abondance. The apartment is also easily accessible in winter. The road to the apartment is always well cleaned after snow showers.
The apartment is fully equipped. The apartment has 2 large bedrooms , each with a double bed (160cm) and also 2 small bedrooms , each with a bunk bed. It has 3 bathrooms with bath or shower, one of which has a toilet and a separate toilet. The living room is modernly furnished with a spacious extendable dining table for 10-12 people and is equipped with TV, Hi-Fi and wifi. The open kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, equipped with Siemens appliances; dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, fridge and freezer, etc. On the terrace you have access to a picnic table and garden chairs. Next to the apartment is the parking lot with 2 parking spaces , one of which is covered .
We have chosen Sunday as the changeover day. On Sunday, it is usually quieter on the road and there are fewer traffic jams in Germany and Switzerland. This saves an average of about two hours of travel time compared to a Saturday, so you arrive at your destination relaxed and faster.
This is also an ideal place to spend your holiday in the summer . This area is known for its beautiful walks in the mountains or the challenging routes for cycling or mountain biking. Due to the various ski lifts (which also run in the summer), the area has very varied opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling and mountain biking. In the area there are several opportunities for swimming and rafting. A stream is 150 meters away and there are small lakes nearby. Chatel also has a modern pool and spa.
In the low season, many of the ski lifts are active; So there is still a lot to do.
