Welcome to Lou Cigalou
Our villa is built against a hill and consists of a main house and an apartment in the basement (called basement) this is not rented separately. At 500 meters from the picturesque village of Saint Jeannet is our detached villa on 2500 m2 of land with swimming pool, spacious terraces, private garden. View of the sea with a panorama from Nice via Antibes to Cannes. Walk to the village for a baguette or a glass of wine. (Lou Cigalou is Provençal name for La Cigale = Cricket)
The main house has a beautiful living room, a spacious and nice kitchen with large dining room and spacious bedroom with a 2 person Hästen bed. On the loft above the living room is a separate bedroom with 2 beds, plus an extra folding bed. Also ideal for children.
The apartment in the basement has a separate bedroom, with 2 single beds and a living area with kitchenette and private bathroom. French doors to the terrace. The sitting room has an extra sofa bed. (upstairs and downstairs cannot be rented separately).
The private swimming pool is located on a large terrace (with ping-pong table!) and can be used from May to October quite warm. A few degrees of heating is done via the solar system.
In the garden the walk into the mountains begins. The Baou's (low mountains) that start almost behind the house provide shelter from winter winds from the Alps. The upper house has a large enclosed terrace of approximately 60 m2. The terrace is partly covered, provides shade in the summer and shelter in the winter.
By car 20 min. to the beach of Cagnes-sur-Mer and 30 min. Nice Airport. To Vence 10 min, golf at 30 min and winter sports at 60 min. To Italy for 3 quarters. For electric cars there are public chargers about 450 m. further.
Lou Cigalou is also very sporty: hiking to the Baou from the backyard or on the Col-de-Vence. Cycling in the immediate vicinity. Electric bikes for rent in Saint Jeannet, also in Gagnes-sur-Mer to cycle along the sea. There are six golf courses in the vicinity.
Our villa is also attractive in the winter period. When the sun is shining, and it often does in winter, you can sit on the terrace. From coffee at 10 o'clock, lunch and then another cup of tea at 4 o'clock. Then go inside and sit by the fireplace. If you really want to spend the winter longer, please contact us about possibilities. There are many beautiful ski resorts just over an hour's drive away, including Isola and Auron.
The costs are listed here per week. But the next week(s) is 10% cheaper. Changeover days are also possible.
