Beautifully renovated luxury old farmhouse with character and pigeonnier.

This gîte has a green quiet location but is still within walking distance of the village of Molières (the smallest Bastide of the Périgord in southwest France). Rolling meadows, forests, nut orchards in combination with the characteristics of the Dordogne in the middle of old villages and towns. On the rivers Dordogne and Vézère there are several places nearby where you can swim, canoe and take boat trips.

The holiday home has 145 m2 of habitable space with 2 bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms (shower, toilet), living room approx. 40 m2 with underfloor heating, TV, internet, large fireplace, central heating, kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine. Two sleeping places (2 separate beds) are on the loft (1st floor) above the living room. This loft is about 40 m2 with a separate office corner.
Large sunny terrace (90m2) with garden furniture and BBQ.

The house has a large garden. Your child or children can play there. Pets are allowed in principle, but you must first consult with the owner. The holiday home, within walking distance of Molières, is located in a quiet area. The area can be characterized as touristy. From the holiday home you have a beautiful view. The house is detached. Unfortunately, smoking is not allowed in the house!

We hope that our future guests enjoy our Gîte and the beautiful surroundings as much as many of our tenants who have already gone before you.
In 2006 we bought our Gîte. A few years later, our holiday home was completely restored with the help of a French architect and by local craftsmen.
We are very proud of the end result and enjoy it every time. In the meantime we are fairly "settled" and have met many nice friends.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Cancellation by the tenant.
Any cancellation must be reported to the landlord in writing or by email.
The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of cancellation by the tenant:

Cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: 25.00 euros.
Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental.
Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental.
Cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental.

If the tenant does not use the holiday home or leaves it before the end of the rental period, no refund will be made.

Cancellation by landlord.
If due to unforeseen circumstances the landlord has to cancel a rental agreement, the tenant will be informed immediately and deposits will be refunded.
If the cancellation of the rental agreement is not the result of force majeure, the landlord will also pay an additional amount of 20% of the rent, being the usual compensation for damage and inconvenience.

The cottage is located in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region (Southwest France) in the Dordogne department near the village of Molières. Rolling meadows, forests, nut orchards in combination with the characteristics of the Dordogne. In the middle of old villages and towns with a vast walking area and cycling/mountain biking area. Swimming opportunities in the Dordogne.
Molières (318 inhabitants) is the smallest Bastide of the Périgord with a lively village square (with a nice local market on Wednesday afternoons).

Visit the medieval places such as Cadouin, with its beautiful monastery and imposing abbey, les Eyzies, Belvès, Limeuil or Tremolat.
Bergerac is a large place with many supermarkets, Intermarché, Lidl, Aldi, Le Clerq, nice shops, restaurants, and is of course known for its Cyrano.
Caves can be visited in: Grotte de Maxange in le Buisson de Cadouin, Gouffre de Proumeyssac in Audrix.
Castles in Brion, the Chateau des Milandes, known for Josephine Baker, with beautiful bird show.

Swimming in the Dordogne and Vézère rivers, at Limeuil or le Pont de Vicq.
Lalinde has a public swimming pool.
Leisure park Aux Etangs du Bois in Saint-Chamassy.
Aquapark in le Bugue, canoeing on the Dordogne and Vézère rivers.
Chateau les Milanades, with beautiful bird show.
Airparc Périgord in Saint-Vincent-de Cosse.
Parc du Bornat in le Bugue.

In the vicinity of Molières you can go hiking, there are several marked walks.
For the golfers, they can indulge themselves at la Lolivarie (18 holes), la Marterie (18 holes) and chateau les Merels (9 holes), also a nice place to have lunch or dinner.
Horseback riding in Alles sur Dordogne at Equestre La Haute Yerle, tours bookable from 1.5 hours.

For daily shopping you can go to Lalinde, where there are several bakers/pastry chefs. Lalinde has a large supermarket Intermaeché (with ATM), there are 2 pharmacies and there is a cozy square with terraces, here are also possibilities to charge your electric car. There is a post office with ATM and 2 pharmacies.
Le Bugue is a slightly larger town, about 20 min. distance from Molières, here too are a large supermarket and also the Lidl and Aldi.

Molières has a small local market on Wednesday afternoons.
Lalinde; market on Thursdays.
Le Bugue; Large market on Tuesdays.
St. Cyprien; Large market on Sunday.
Issigeac; Large market also on Sundays.
Bergerac; markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
