Welcome to our charming gîte, located in the heart of our organic chestnut farm. Our holiday home offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with stunning views over the valley of La Dronne. Enjoy the peace, nature and privacy that this idyllic place has to offer.

Rustic & Comfort

The gîte is a cozy, rustic house with comfortable furnishings. Here you can enjoy the simple, rural charm of the region. The house offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday, from a well-equipped kitchen to a comfortable sitting area with a wood stove. The master bedroom opens into the spacious bathroom, with double shower, sink, hanging toilet and washing machine. In addition, there are two extra bedrooms with enough beds for the whole family or circle of friends.

Nature and privacy in abundance

Our gîte is completely surrounded by nature. Plenty of privacy, so you can relax and enjoy the surroundings in peace. Unique selling point? That is really the beautiful view over the valley of La Dronne. In the morning, you can enjoy a quiet breakfast outside, while watching the sun rise and the nature around you come alive. In the evening you sit comfortably by the campfire, you see the sun sink on the other side of the valley. Ever seen the full moon rise or the Milky Way? You can do all that here!

Activities for Young and Old

Whether you like hiking, mountain biking, swimming with the kids or prefer to explore picturesque villages, there is something for everyone. The area is rich in natural beauty and offers numerous hiking and cycling routes that lead you through the most beautiful parts of the region. Discover the charming, historic villages nearby. Or visit one of the largest markets in France in Piegut-Pluviers, where you can taste the flavors of the Dordogne. Truffles, chestnuts, porcini mushrooms, they are just a few.

There is plenty to do for the adventurous guests! Enjoy a day in a treetop adventure park or try the velo-rail. For water lovers, there are several swimming lakes in the region, ideal for a refreshing dip on a hot summer's day. A visit to the caves of Villars also deserves a place on the bucket list for this holiday.

Discover the History of the Region

The region is steeped in history and culture. Richard the Lionheart died in 1199 in nearby Chalus. Follow part of the driving route of La Route Coeur de Lion, visit the castles that adorn the area, or spend a day in one of the handsome towns nearby. From medieval villages to the beautiful city of Périgueux, there is plenty to discover.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

In case of cancellation up to 120 days before the start of the rental period: free of charge
In case of cancellation from 90 days before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 30 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 15 days before the start of the rental period: 75% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 7 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price
If the tenant only announces on the day of the start of the rental period or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, the tenant will continue to owe the full rent.
