Restaurants. You will find plenty of restaurants along the banks of the Dordogne as well as in the tourist towns of Gourdon and Sarlat. Menus range from 25 to 30 euros and more (menu gastronomique). The region is best known for its foie gras, gesiers de canard, cèpes, confit and mousse de canard.

The region is especially known for its foie gras, gesiers de canard, duck confit, cèpes, mousse de canard, walnuts, chestnuts and walnut wine.
Television. Since October 2006 we have all the Belgian and the Dutch channel BVN receive (Best of Flanders and the Netherlands) have a subscription with TV Vlaanderen making. Via France Telecom can receive the French channels and so follow the weather. A VCR and DVD player are also provided. Through the dish we have internet reception now. There is an old laptop that you can use to receive news from the homeland.
The holiday home is located in a forest of 5000 m2. Children can not only play in that forest, but also possibly spend the night. Because the chestnut tree was dead, it was felled for safety reasons and the tree house was rebuilt in the spring of 2023 at a height of 50 cm.
Since 2013, the cotton canopy replaced by a firm covered roof making it to late evening and even sporadic rains enjoyable food and linger on the terrace.
The domain is completely enclosed with wire panels and contains an entrance gate so that unwanted dogs cannot enter the site.
The closed new pool cover that was installed in June 2022.

Behind the house, surrounded by a terrace, located on the pool of four 8 m with roman steps. The depth ranges from 1m to 2m25. The mini slide ends in the deep end. The water is salt based and is heated from 1 April to late October (21 ° to 25 °). The pool is cleaned weekly. Because of the French legislation is the indoor swimming pool with a retractable pool enclosure and the terrace is fenced. On the terrace you will find a table with six chairs.
The canopy of cotton this photograph was replaced in early 2013 by a solid canopy with roof tiles. This makes it possible to (sporadically) rain to continue eating outside. Especially in the summer it is on the terrace under the canopy pleasant stay until midnight. New photos from May when nature back into bloom.
In the sitting area of ??the living room is a television that works via two satellite receivers. With the recorder you can play the children's films present. The sofa can be converted into an additional bed for 2 persons. For the colder periods there is a fireplace.
The dining area has a large table with 6 chairs. A high chair is available on request. In the sideboards you find the necessary furniture. In the dining room also contains a computer corner. On an old laptop with external screen can consult (free) Internet.

The heated swimming pool has a new mobile pool cover. This roof can also partially cover the swimming pool or be opened completely. In the spring and autumn, it is best to close the cover after every swim, so that the water easily remains 5 degrees warmer.

Here you will also find an extra TV with built in DVD player. NEW: For the little ones there is a cot with a proper mattress of 120 to 60 cm.
Purple bedroom. In front of the house is a second double bedroom. The bed is 1m40 and 1m90. There are two pillows and a duvet provided.
For sports enthusiasts: in the garage of the house, bikes. There is also a kayak and canoe available. For children there is a mini football goal. On the terrace there is a table tennis table. There are two tennis rackets and some tennis balls. Tennis can on the municipal land in Milhac or Grolejac. In the house is a directory compiled by the owner walking and cycling routes as well as canoe and kayak routes in the Dordogne.
Shopping. Small purchases can be made in the Petit Casino with bakery and butcher in Groléjac (5 km). For large purchases you can go to Gourdon (10 km) or Sarlat (14 km) where you will find Intermarché, Carrefour, Lidl, Casino, Leader Price, Aldi, Action and Leclerc.
