The property is ideal for two (authenticity) pairs due to the presence of a plurality of bathrooms.

Beautifully stylish new house (built in 2005), detached position with beautiful unobstructed views of hills and village. Within walking distance from the picturesque village with bakery, grocery, restaurant, doctor, modern pharmacy and post office. House layout: Spacious hall with corridor where all rooms come is also a separate toilet here and the stairs to the open "tower room". The living room is large and light has several doors to the garden and terraces. In the living room spacious dining area and adjoining open kitchen with access to (covered) terrace. Adjacent utility room with washing machine and second fridge. There are on the ground floor, three bedrooms each for 2 people and new beds and cabinets. From two bedrooms there is access to the spacious bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. From the other bedroom has access to smaller bathroom with shower and sink. bunk and offers possibly the comic has "tower room". children a very nice room. The interior of this house is very comfortable: good furniture, kitchen with all the trimmings, good plumbing, house by electric heating (partly floor heating, electric radiators in part) The house is spacious, light, comfortable and very practical. TV with Dutch reception and Internet access.

The good heating this house to live all year. In the period from October 1 to April 1 will be asked to contribute to the electricity consumed in that period), then get a discount on the rent.

The property is also suitable for small children, since the private pool (18m2) with terrace is completely enclosed by a lockable gate. The pool terrace is not facing the street.
There is also an external box of 10m2 with sandbox for small children.

There is a large trampoline for children.
The house is within walking distance (10min) from the village. During the day there are a few cars passed. The nights are quiet and dark.

In 2000 we were on a camping in the head of the Dordogne. We fell in love with the area and decided to look at existing houses. After two days of viewing homes we knew this was not for us. The broker called us that he knew a great plot. Not cheap, but unique. This was the start of our own house in France. In a place where time seems to have stood still. We'd swap full Netherlands for a break in a fine, practical and comfortable home.

Additional information

Around the house large sloping lawn and (partially) covered terraces. You can use either the sun or shade. Garden is not fenced and has left a considerable altitude. The garden is not defined. For toddlers, there is a movable wooden box of 12m2
The pool is safe for infants and toddlers by building the pool with lockable terrace
Bussière-Badil is a small picturesque village, where nature and peace prevail. It is located in the Parc Naturel Périgord-Limousin. The area is characterized by a green hilly landscape with forests, meadows, streams and lakes. Located on the border of the Dordogne and Charente, the region offers many possibilities for excursions. (Perigieux, Angouleme, Limoges, Cognac) In the vicinity you can go hiking, biking, and canoeing on the river Tardoire
The following features can be found in the village: bakery, post office, doctor, grocery, restaurant, pharmacy, tennis court and, recently, a bowling alley. In Montbron (11 km) is a comprehensive supermarket, butchers, bakers, bank, tourist office etc. Piegut-Pluviers (8 km) is a large market every Wednesday, where many regional products are sold. During the summer months near many activities such as: bric bracs, (classical) music festivals, village festivals etc.
On the rock wall at the Gorge du Chambon (5 km) you can climb. There you can also rent horses.
Hiking and mountain biking can directly from Bussière-Badil, throughout the area are hiking uitgezet.In Bussière-Badil is an indoor tennis court and bowling alley.
In Golf International de la Prèze find an 18-hole course. approx 8 km.
Nearby are several lakes including the recreational lake St.Estephe (9 km) with a sandy beach, cabanas, picnic benches. There can be fished and swam and pedalos can be hired.

In Bussière-Badil, Varaignes, St. Estephe, Piegut-Pluviers and Montbron are several restaurants where you can enjoy both a simple plat du jour as a la carte menu. In St. Sornin (14 km) is a cooperative winery, where you can taste and buy.
In the summer season in Varaignes every Saturday evening a barbecue held at the old marketplace.
Our Dutch contact person does not live far from Bussiere-Badil and ensures the reception on your arrival. The changeover day is normally Saturday. After 16.00 hours on your arrival you will be welcomed with open arms.
