Welcome to our recently restored 'Maison de Maitre' from 1904, suitable for 8 to 10 people with private swimming pool. The country house has 4 spacious bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite, of which an older bedroom with an adjoining room features a bunk bed and private bathroom. Near the house is a tree house for 2 persons, if you want to come to more guests, namely La Cabane du Rouge-Gorge, at extra cost. The whole is on a 15 ha domain. From the terraces of the house you have a beautiful view over the pool and the valley. An ideal place for a glass of wine. On the grounds there is a spa building, with sauna, hammam, fitness room and massage salon.

My name is Anthonia Udink and together with my daughter Sanne, we rent a number of houses in the French Dordogne. 20 Years ago we first started looking for a house in France, preferably a house, which needed to be restored, because my husband enjoys building. We found our present house, and completely restored our own home, an old farmhouse of 1860, then we were able to buy the land from the neighbors, Lalande-Laborie and gave it a complete makeover.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

Our house is near the village of Montignac where the famous Lascaux caves are located. Lascaux 4 recently opened on December 15, 2016 and worth a visit. Montignac also located all shops like the Intermarche. There are bakers and butchers and also nice restaurants on the banks of the Vezere. On Wednesday morning there is a market where local products can be found. 25 km drive from Sarlat, a medieval town with beautiful houses, squares and shops. Perigueux also is worth to visit, with its magnificent cathedral, nice streets and shops selling local produce. Also in the vicinity of the rivers Dordogne and Vezere with canoe rentals. You can make beautiful trips on the river. Riding in our area also is a possibility and there are lovely walks.
