Superb detached house in the Dordogne with 3 spacious bedrooms and a large garden with heated 8x4 m private pool and bar with super wifi coverage. Very quietly located on the edge of a small rustic village.
Furnishings and equipment The house is comfortably furnished and fully equipped, such as dishwasher, washing machine, television with DVD/video player, fireplace, 5-burner gas stove with oven and microwave. There is also a bookcase with Dutch and English books and a collection of (children's and adults) DVDs for your relaxation.
Including bed linen and linen Upon arrival we will make sure that the beds are made. In addition, there is of course a towel and tea towel and a bath towel and a pool towel for each person. Saves space in the trunk ;)

Garden & Swimming Pool The garden is 30 x 25 m in size and completely fenced. The pool is 8x4 meters with a staircase area. The shallow part is 80cm deep, the deep part (sloping) is 1.70m deep.
Pool heating Next to the pool is a covered bar (5x2 meters). Besides the fact that this is a nice place where you can read a book, play a game or get a drink from the fridge, the roof of the bar is also used to heat the pool. By attaching solar collectors to the roof of the bar, the pool can be heated in an environmentally friendly way, so that it can also be used in the early and late season.
Fiber optic internet Superfast fiber optic connection (500Mb) and repeaters throughout the house and at the outdoor kitchen and bar ensure that all family members can use the internet and watch HD streams at the same time without any worries.
Flying to the Dordogne Did you know that you can fly directly from Rotterdam with Transavia to Bergerac and then reach our house in St. Sulpice in an hour and a half by rental car? The costs in the early and late season are very acceptable if you book early (50 euros pp one way) and outside the high season the rental periods and changeover days are negotiable. Please contact us for more information.

Groceries In the village there is a shop where you can get the most necessary groceries (including fresh bread). Large luxury supermarkets can be found 10 minutes away in Excideuil and Thiviers.
Wave 15 minutes away is a beautiful and challenging 9-hole course. 18 hole courses can be found 45 minutes away in Limoges and Perigeux.
Welcome! We, Michel and Inge Wets, wish you a warm welcome to the site about our holiday home in the Dordogne, located about 950 km from Utrecht. Why we bought this house? Because we fell in love with the most beautiful part of the Dordogne, this house has space, tranquility and a mature garden with shade and sun. And of course the swimming pool and patio where you can sit with coffee or wine. Ask? Ask them and you will receive an answer. Viva la Vie, enjoy life!
The final cleaning is mandatory (costs € 150 per booking). You are expected to leave the house tidy and broom clean. Linen includes, 1 set of linen (bedding, band towel and swimming towel) per person per booking.
The house is situated on the outskirts of St. Sulpice d'Excideuil, a small village with 300 inhabitants. Located on a quiet road where about 10 cars per hour pass.
St Sulpice is a 10 minute drive from the larger towns and Excideuil Thiviers with large supermarkets and cute little shops and a weekly markt.In St. Sulpice is a small shop where you fresh every day (stick) can get bread.
Google Earth has unfortunately not very detailed pictures of the region. If you want to look as ambient yet you can go to St. Sulpice d'Excideuil search. Our house is located on the south side of the village.
Maison en Dordogne lies on the edge of the small village of St. Sulpice d'Excideuil to the north of the Dordogne.
It was built in 1973 and in 2007 the kitchen and bathroom renovated. The entire interior is new and very luxurious. No banks or sagging mattresses so!
The plot (1060 m2) is completely surrounded by a hedge and fence and is therefore very suitable for children. The 4 spacious bedrooms, it is also perfect for sharing with family friends. In one of the bedrooms also have a cot.

There are 3 spacious bedrooms (each at least 13m2). 2 of them have a double bed and the other has two single beds. There is also a baby cot.
The large kitchen has a fireplace, 5 burner gas oven, microwave, dishwasher, large American fridge with ice cube machine and two comfortable armchairs.
The living room has a dining table with 6 chairs. There are also sofas and an LCD TV with CD / DVD player. This TV can only be used for playing movies from the available DVD player or for connecting your own computer or game consoles. There is no television reception of Dutch or French television channels.
In front of the living room is a small covered patio terrace with a nice lounge set. Here you can have a nice coffee in the morning and watch the sun rise. In the evening you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings while enjoying a drink.
The bathroom has 2 sinks and a bath with a spacious shower. There is a separate toilet.
The backyard is 30 x 25 meters and contains some fruit trees that provide a nice shade.
The private pool of 4 x 8 meters (depth varying from 75 cm to 1.7 meters) is heated by solar energy and open from April to October. The pool is covered by an electrically operated pool cover.
In the garden there is a spacious bar. Around the pool is a 50 m2 terrace with sun loungers. The bar has a small table and chairs and refrigerator.

Interesting places to go include: Sarlat (beautiful medieval city) Rocamadour (old town built on a steep hill).
Especially for children: Rouffiac Lake (15 minutes). Here is a small beach to relax, you can rent canoes and pedal boats and much more.
