- The Poitou-Charentes borders, on the Atlantic coast, between the Loire and the Dordogne and one of the sunniest places in western France with an average of 26 degrees. The weather is pleasant, a beautiful landscape, picturesque villages, cozy terraces and excellent regional cuisine
- Maisonville 41 in Le Bois Senis is a beautiful holiday home in a safe, child-friendly and perfectly maintained park! The park is only accessible with a magnetic card and is virtually car-free. Children can safely walk, scooter and cycle and swim in the heated spacious swimming and paddling pool, which is equipped with sunbeds and parasols. There is a fenced playground for the children, two bowling alleys and a putting green.
- Our house at no. 41 is perfectly maintained and is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the park. The garden offers a lot of privacy with an unobstructed view and is landscaped with plants and a large lawn on which the children can play. The roof covers a large part of the terraces, providing optimal shade and keeping the house cool.
- Outside is a large wooden table with 6 chairs and deckchairs. In the living room with fireplace is the dining table with 6 chairs, an extra (bed) sofa on which 2 children can sleep well and a large 4-person lounge sofa and armchairs. The bedrooms, kitchen and living room have patio doors. There is digital TV for all Dutch and many foreign channels.
- Each bedroom has two separate box-springs with pillows, a large wardrobe with hanging and shelving space, two bedside tables, fans and a bathroom. The 1st bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet, washbasin and wall cabinet. The 2nd bathroom has a shower with sliding wall, toilet, sink and wall cabinet.
- You must bring your own linen, such as duvet covers and fitted sheets. You can also rent bed linen, as well as large and small towels and kitchen towels. A camp bed is available.
- The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob, convection oven with grill, extractor hood, dishwasher, and a fridge-freezer combination. There is also a Nespresso machine and coffee maker with Melita flow, kettle and microwave. There is plenty of cutlery, crockery and other kitchen utensils.
- In the meter cupboard there is a first aid kit, flashlight, ironing board with iron and the vacuum cleaner, dustpan and brush. Next to the front door is the space for the washing machine, dryer and boiler that automatically starts and heats the water every night.
- You will find emergency numbers for the emergency services in our information book. The AED is hanging by the pool. The code is: 2023V.
- The information book also contains addresses and telephone numbers of shops, restaurants, places of interest, and a 36-hole golf course a few hundred meters away.
- Why rent our house? Because it is perfectly maintained and fully furnished, just the way we want it during our holiday. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Moreover, the rental price is lower than with the commercial providers.
- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed and smoking is not allowed either.
- The park Le Bois Senis at Les Forges is approx. 40 minutes from Poitiers and La Rochelle at 85 km on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean at Ile de Ré.
- The coast has more than 400 km of beautiful sandy beaches, idyllic villages, terraces and affordable restaurants. The French love an extensive lunch!.
- For groceries you can go to the village of Valsles and a few hundred meters away is the organic shop L'escale Fermiere and there you can even reserve bread and croissants.
- There are large shops in Parthenay, E.Leclerc, Lidl, Aldi and an Action.
- Food and drink is close by at Deano's Les Forges. Bar/Grill and Le Zinc in Vasles and a traditional Pizza bakery on Monday evenings. Also recommended is Le Dix Vingt in Reffannes at about 13 km and the Panda Wok in Parthenay, especially for children.
- Poitiers is the former capital and oldest university city in France with beautiful churches, cozy squares and picturesque streets. A city walk is a must!
- Auchan Shopping is a large shopping boulevard in Poitiers at approx. 35km. Furthermore, there are many typical rural villages in the area with local markets and festivals.
- La Rochelle is a historic marina on the Atlantic Ocean and connected by a 2.9 km long bridge to Île de Ré. There are cozy narrow streets, large and small shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors and a covered market until 12:00. (see information book)
- Marais Poitevin is a beautiful marsh area about 1 hour's drive towards La Rochelle.
- Sanxay. The Gallo-Roman site at 9 km. The amphitheater is actually used as an open-air opera theater to this day.
- Silver mine in Melle. All visits are guided and last approximately 1h30.
- Zoo of la Palmyre. A beautiful zoo for the whole family!
