Ancienne Ecole in the Corrèze
This house is a former school and is located at the highest point of the village of Troche. This is located in a hilly landscape of the department of Corrèze, which is located close to the Dordogne.

Large garden of 1000m2 with lots of privacy
The house has a large garden (1000 m2) with a beautiful view, full of old trees, shrubs and box hedges, but also a lawn to enjoy the wonderful sun. The covered outdoor terrace has plenty of shade during the day and is the ideal place to enjoy the peace and quiet in the evening. Garden furniture (sitting and lying) is available for 8 people. In the summer you probably need a little refreshment. There is a nice swimming pool ready for that. A plunge pool. Often the nicest corner of the garden. (4.50 x 1.10).

Fully equipped
The enormous living space (in one piece) measures 80 m2 and is divided into a sitting, dining and kitchen area. With high ceilings, underfloor heating, a wood stove and atmospheric lighting. Perfect image and sound: a 48" curved HD flat screen satellite TV with all Dutch channels, audio installation, Apple TV to stream your sound or movies, WiFi internet and dimmable (floor) spots that illuminate the room attractively. There is a large wooden table where 8 people can easily eat.

Luxury Entertainment Room
The attic has been transformed into a spacious and luxurious 'Living Lounge'. In order to offer our guests even more comfort, we have created an ideal place to watch movies, listen to music or play a game of table tennis. Or to retreat for a while and let everyone else have their own way downstairs. Or vice versa: park your offspring upstairs! They are no longer a child for you!

The latest technical gadgets
This entertainment area (100 m2) can be completely darkened in no time at all. A powerful HD Beamer projects ample (or included) DVDs or Blu-Rays onto a large screen. Whether you watch HD satellite TV or enjoy gaming with the existing XBOX360. The powerful surround system makes you believe that you are in a real cinema. Two air conditioners ensure that the room can be heated or refreshed in no time at all. The living room downstairs and the Living Lounge upstairs both have Apple TV to stream your own laptop sound or image (for example Spotify).

Sleeping in the style of the past
The characteristic atmosphere of the past has been preserved as much as possible and even accentuated on the first floor. The four bedrooms are all equipped with comfortable box springs. The rooms all have a beautiful view over the garden and the lovely village of Troche. The beds are already made for you on arrival, so that you can immediately enjoy a carefree holiday.

Sights
The house has an interactive sightseeing site that shows exactly what there is to do around the Ancienne Ecole. Restaurants, playground, swimming pool, tennis court, parks, markets, museums and playgrounds. Everything is clear and well-arranged and easily searchable.

New sanitary facilities

The master bedroom has its own bath area with toilet, sink and a nice large bath. There are also a washbasin in two bedrooms and each bedroom has a spacious chest of drawers or wardrobe for clothes. A general bathroom in the hallway has all modern comforts and there is a third toilet in the hallway.

My name is Aernoud Florijn. In 2002 we found this house and fell in love instantly. After many renovation summers and blood, sweat and tears, our dream has become reality. The most beautiful and tallest house for miles around.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The prices mentioned do not include €175 for final cleaning, €15 per person per week for mandatory rental of bed and bath linen, 3% tourist tax and €0.50 per KwH for electricity above 150 kwh per week. There is a surcharge of €35 per booking per pet. In principle, the stay runs from Saturday afternoon 16:00 to a following Saturday morning 10:00. Adjustments to this are of course negotiable. The house is delivered clean by the landlord in advance and the tenant must leave it tidy and wipe-clean afterwards. If this is not the case, extra cleaning costs (ad. €25  per hour) will be charged. There is a washing machine and dryer available.
