Villa la Haute Preze 8, Verdoyante

This bright, modern and spacious villa has 4 (spacious) bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is therefore suitable for 8 people. The rear terrace overlooks the infamous^11th hole (island hole) of Golf de la Preze at the Domaine de la Haute Preze. This Domaine consists of 44 luxury homes. Some of the houses are permanently inhabited. Golf de la Preze has an 18-hole course for people with GVB, but also an 18-hole par-3 course for people who are not ready yet. 
There is a charging station available for charging an EV/PHEV of up to 7.4 kWh. 
There is a fiber optic connection. So fast internet. This allows you to watch via Chromecast TV. In 2022, the kitchen was completely renovated and has been given a slightly changed layout.

The golf course got a new owner at the end of 2020. This owner has transferred the course to the organization that operates more golf courses. (including Cognac and Domaine des Forges) The reception, court and restaurant have been thoroughly refurbished. A lot has improved in the course. The greens were in good condition, but the bad weather in 2024 clearly affected the greens. The new owner has indicated that he will bring the track back to optimal condition with extra manpower. 

The special thing about this villa compared to the other villas on this domaine is that there are patio doors in the kitchen at the front which give access to a west-facing terrace. So there is always a terrace with either sun or cooling. There is a BBQ. The kitchen is equipped with many appliances, such as a bread machine and a magimix food processor. Of course there is a heated/cooled swimming pool of 8x4m with a large terrace. Due to the extensive vegetation, there is a lot of privacy around the pool.

The Domaine is located in the part of the Charente that is also called the "three-country point". It borders the departments of Haute Vienne and Dordogne. There are many possibilities for large and small trips. For example, visit the castle of la Rochefoucauld, the slipper museum in Varaignes (22 km) or the Roman church in Cherves-Chatelars. Cities such as Limoges, famous for its porcelain,  Angoulême (45 km) with its old town and comic strip museum, Cognac (70 km) with its famous cognac houses and Perigueux with its medieval center and cathedral (95 km) are also worth a visit.

Prefer something more active? At Montron (8km) there is a canoe center from which trips on the Tardoire can be made. Sailing is possible at Lac Lavaud (24 km). Walking and cycling routes (ATB)  have been set out in the immediate vicinity.
