This lovely house is located at the Village le Chat holiday park, often chosen for its ideal location and large terrace on the (fishing) lake. The restaurant at the park has been renovated and reopened!  As well as sandwich service & ice cream snacks at the pool in high season. More information will follow.
The park has many facilities such as 2 tennis courts, table tennis, jeu de boules, playground, large swimming pool and paddling pool (shallower), football field, swimming lake with playground equipment and raft. There is also a beach at the lake and the lake is also suitable as a fishing lake. The park is located right next to the beautiful De la Preze golf course.

Welcome to Village le Chat 141 Écuras  "Return" 
Our lovely 2-5 person holiday home is centrally located on the park Village le Chat, rue de narcisse 141, close to the swimming pool, 2 all-weather tennis courts and on the lake with beautiful panoramic views. The house is built on a slope and has 2 floors. There is private parking at the top of the road and there is plenty of space around the house with a large terrace, so you can fully enjoy the (setting) sun. Everywhere in and outside there is lightning-fast WIFI (fiber optic). The fully equipped kitchen is fully equipped. 

Entrance on the upper floor 
You enter the hall. Here are the 2 bedrooms and the bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. The 1st bedroom has 1x bunk bed and 1-bed (80 x 200)  and a chest of drawers to store your clothes. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed Boxspring (160 x 200), bedside tables and 2 large wardrobes. All beds have pillows and duvets; You can bring your own linen or rent it. Both rooms have shutters so that the heat/light can be kept out. Ground floor
The living room with kitchen can be reached via the stairs to the ground floor with truly fantastic views of the lake. The sliding doors provide you with access to the spacious terrace.
Kitchen was renovated 5 years ago, and fully equipped with induction hob, kitchen utensils for 6 people, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer,  fridge-freezer, microwave, oven, coffee maker and Senseo, kettle, toaster, mixer etc. Dining table with 6 chairs.

Living room: 3-seater sofa with lounge area, coffee table, 2 rattan armchairs, sideboard with TV with Canal-Digital incl. Dutch TV channels and chromecast for streaming, WIFI, chest of drawers with some games, a diverse range of reading books in the etagere/dresser, puzzles.

Terrace: south facing, large, tiled and lake view. with garden table and 4 adjustable chairs, 4 plastic chairs, parasols, 2 sunbeds, stone BBQ, covered terrace with box to store the cushions. Village le Chat is located on the border of the Charente, Dordogne and Limousin regions. A rolling landscape alternates with babbling brooks, rivers, lakes and lots of forest. Although the area is quiet, the hustle and bustle of (authentic) French villages with their cozy squares, terraces, castles, markets and  vide-greniers can be found within a reasonable distance. In our house you will find, among other things: In the guestbook tips for trips and activities.

For groceries, Montbron is the nearest village at 6.5 km. Several supermarkets (Intermarché and Aldi), bakery, butcher, phamácia, tobacconists, restaurants and bar. The first village you pass is Chatain Bessón gem Ecuras. You can eat well at the renovated restaurant L'Écurasien" only 5 minutes away.  
At the campsite of l'Etang (10 min.) you can also eat well and the children can play outside on the beach. 

The centre commercial at our park Village le Chat has a swimming pool, children's pool, 2 tennis courts, 2 table tennis tables, jeux-de-boule court, 2 playgrounds, playground and football field. In the lake there is a raft with slide, a beach with sunbeds and  umbrellas, playground equipment and toilet. You can swim, fish, there is a footpath around it that passes in front of our house. Furthermore; Restaurant with bar, large terrace. The restaurant/terrace has been refurbished and this year 2025 again a good base for a snack, drink, it promises to be a great season
Don't feel like going out, what more could you wish for than eating on the terrace with the sun setting on the lake.

Next to Village le Chat is the fantastic 18-hole golf course "Golf Internationale de la Prèze". This golf course is well-groomed with clear, challenging holes and good greens. For the 18-hole course, a GVB is required. Not only experienced golfers, but also beginners can go here on the par-3 course.

We are Leontien and Roel and would like to welcome you in our lovely holiday home near the Dordogne. We have been the owners of this house for over 20 years and together with our now adult children we have converted this house, which is in very good condition, into a true palace, both we and many tenants like to come back regularly. You can fully enjoy your well-deserved rest. There is much to discover in the area; good food, hiking, golf, visiting markets, etc.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The rental prices are exclusive of mandatory final cleaning € 80.00
tourist tax € 0.90 per night per person 18+
Rent bed linen € 19.00 per person per stay. Optional

Deposit about 20% of the rent to be paid in advance. This deposit will be received by the lessor within 14 days of the invoice date. Remainder must be received by the landlord no later than 5 weeks before the start of the stay. If the reservation is made less than 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, payment of the full rental price will take place immediately.
4. Cancellation by the renter . It is the responsibility of the renter to take out travel and/or cancellation insurance, if necessary. Any cancellation must be reported to the lessor in writing or by e-mail. The lessor will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of cancellation by the tenant:
Cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: 10% of the rent.Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rent.Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rent. Cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rent. If the tenant does not use the holiday home or leaves it before the end of the rental period, no some refund.
Deposit € 150.00 per booking.
We point out the importance of good travel and cancellation insurance. For proper coverage, you must take out cancellation insurance within 6 days of entering into the rental agreement, preferably in writing.
