On the border of the Dordogne and the Charente in the Village le Chat holiday village, our house is located with a view of the (swimming/fishing) lake.  A raft to get to the other side is right at the bottom of our garden. 
A heated swimming pool, children's pool, and tennis courts less than 100m away!
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is therefore also very suitable for 2 couples.
Take a good look at the photos and you'll get the vibe. We play (almost too) much golf on the adjacent 18-hole golf course golf de la Preze. You get a discount as a tenant there.
House is wonderfully centrally located. Village le Chat is a park where families have been coming back for generations. Montbron is 10 km away, that's where you do your shopping. Angoulême and la Rochefoucauld are close by and interesting places to visit. Angoulême with medieval centre. Chateau of la Rochefoucauld is especially interesting on Sundays as "the current resident herself" shows around!
Lots of outdoor activities, cycling for tough people, canoeing, well-marked walks, but also spectacular caves.

Years ago I was here with my granddaughter on Ameland doing what we mainly do now: enjoying life with family if possible. Now that we no longer work (Rob Akzo and Hilda law firm) we spend a lot of time in one of our lovely houses (Ameland, Seiseralm, village le Chat France), nature, walking, golfing, cycling, tennis, all wonderful as long as we are healthy.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

We spend a month there in the spring (April/May) and a month in the autumn (Sept/Oct). The rest of the time the house is for rent!! The Charente is beautiful all year round. The house is also very suitable for 2 couples, it offers sufficient privacy.

Angoulême is a nice city, known for all the cartoons on the buildings. It has cozy squares to have a drink and the more famous chains are also here. Very nice to do is the walking tour through the city along all the cartoon drawings.
