Holiday house

*Due to a thorough renovation, the house is currently not bookable for 2025.*

On the sunny island of Ile de Ré, holiday home Rhétaise is located just 300 meters from the lovely village of Le Bois Plage, where there is a large market every day. The wide sandy beach is 700 metres away.
The holiday home is completely detached with terraces and an indoor garage.
The house, suitable for up to 5 people, is built in French style with a staircase and balustrade in front of the house and a staircase at the back of the house.
The unique fence in front of the house with the âne and culotte (donkey with the pants on) is an absolute eye-catcher. The donkeys are characteristic of the island. In the past, the donkeys helped out in the salt fields and the trousers served as protection.

The holiday home is cosily furnished with a large corner sofa, cozy fireplace and smart TV in the living room. Free Wi-Fi is available. Reading books and games are provided.

The spacious kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, mini oven and Nespresso coffee machine.
There are 2 bedrooms in this holiday home. One bedroom has a very comfortable and new Swiss sense box spring bed (160x200).
The second bedroom has a bunk bed and a single bed.
The bathroom is equipped with toilet, sink and a bath with shower.

The large garden has several terraces. Of course, the Weber barbecue is not missing. There are swings for the children. There is enough space in the garage to store your bicycles. Here you will also find the washing machine and an extra fridge.
A cot and high chair are available.

Location: Le Bois Plage is centrally located on the island. This is where the most beautiful sandy beaches are located. In the village there are several restaurants, a supermarket, 2 bakeries, a caterer, several nice shops and bicycle rental companies. Every morning there is a market. in Les Halles, the covered part of the market, you can buy fresh island products such as fish, fruit and vegetables.

Ile de Ré, an island in the Atlantic Ocean, is very popular because of its mild climate, its beautiful, wide sandy beaches, its beautiful and clean sea and its authentic villages.
This beautiful island is nicknamed Ré la Blanche because all the houses there are white. The island is connected by a 3-kilometre-long bridge on the mainland near the city of La Rochelle in the Charente Maritime department.
There are no less than 110 km of cycle paths on the island and two of France's 'plus beaus villages' can be admired here, Ars-en-Ré and La Flotte. The small white houses with green shutters, the fragrant hollyhocks and the picturesque fishing villages provide the ultimate holiday feeling.

The mild climate is due to the warm Gulf Stream that flows past the island. The sea water is pleasant even in the pre-season. The number of hours of sunshine per year is the same as the Riviera, which is more than 2700 hours of sunshine per year.

My mother, born on the island, gave me the love for Ile de Ré from an early age. We would like to share this beautiful spot. As soon as you cross the bridge, you are immediately in a holiday mood! Cute villages with winding streets and white houses and colorful hollyhocks, the sea and the wide sandy beaches, the beautiful nature and of course the delicious food make the island a true paradise. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
