Beach house Océan Île de Ré

Beach house Océan, on the sunny island of Île de Ré, is situated in a prime location, only 400 meters away from the beautiful sandy beach and the calm sea. The pleasant village of Le Bois Plage with its daily market, the largest on the island, is also a short walk away.

The attractive living room has a sliding door to the terrace, fireplace and smart TV. Wifi is of course available for free. There are reading books and games in the cupboard.

The kitchen was completely renovated in 2020 and is equipped with a fridge freezer, 4-burner induction hob, dishwasher and combi oven / microwave. There is a coffee maker and a Nespresso machine.

There are 2 spacious bedrooms in the beach house. A bedroom with a double bed (queen size box spring 160x200), a large wardrobe and a patio door to the terrace.
The children's room has a bunk bed and a single bed (90x200) and a cupboard here too. All beds have been renewed in 2017.
Bed linen and a towel package can be rented, but you can also bring your own.
A cot, high chair and baby bath are available free of charge. Children's toys are also available.

The renovated bathroom has a walk-in shower with rain shower, sink and toilet.
The washing machine is in the storage room.
The terrace faces south and has a patio table, chairs, large floating parasol and 2 sun beds. Here is the sun all day and you can enjoy a nice drink and a delicious meal prepared on the Weber bbq.

All windows of the beach house are equipped with sun protection shutters so that the house stays nice and cool on hot days. The car can be parked behind a lockable gate.

There is a large market in the village every morning. The market hall with fresh island products such as fish and vegetables is open every morning. There is also a supermarket, 2 bakeries for delicious baguettes and croissants, a butcher's shop, drugstore / pharmacy and various other nice shops, restaurants and bicycle rental companies.

Île de Ré is a sunny island in the Atlantic Ocean, connected to the mainland by a three kilometer long bridge near the town of La Rochelle in the Charente Maritime department. The island is surrounded by beautiful beaches and is also known for its calm sea, the mild and sunny climate, the old culture and of course the delicious food. Île de Ré is a real cycling paradise with no less than 110 kilometers of cycling paths. Ile de Ré is 30 kilometers long and between 100 meters and 5 kilometers wide. The landscape is wonderfully flat. The cycle paths are perfectly laid out and you avoid the busy roads, especially in high season. You pass through beautiful nature reserves such as bird reserves, salt fields, vineyards, through narrow streets with beautiful flowers, along beautiful quiet coastal roads, past oyster farms, over idyllic bridges, and through picturesque villages with harbors and cozy terraces. Due to the central location of our holiday homes on the island, all 10 villages on the island are easily accessible by bicycle.

'Les plus beaux villages de France' covers 157 villages in France. No fewer than two of these 'most beautiful villages in France' can be found on Ile de Ré. Ars en Ré is a beautiful artists' village with a pleasant harbour. The jewel of this place is undoubtedly the l'église St Etienne with its special black and white tower. La Flotte has centuries of history. The Fort de la Prée and the old abbey are definitely worth a visit and then enjoy a cold drink on a terrace at the eye-catching harbor.

Wherever you are on the island, when the sun goes down you become silent. The sunset is breathtaking. Everything on the island is bathed in a golden glow, beautiful to see.
