5 cottages, in the middle of nature, built on a hill, each with a private terrace and a beautiful view over the Etang de Berre, the largest salt lake in Europe, which is in open connection with the Mediterranean Sea at Martigues, also called "la petite Venise".

Swimming pool, trampoline, ping-pong, barbecue, etc. are available for you and your children. Of course, you can also swim in the lake. Surfboards and small boats can be taken with you free of charge. There is plenty of space, sometimes it seems as if the whole lake is ours. For golf enthusiasts, beautiful golf courses are nearby.

Through the terrace you enter the living room with large dining table and sitting area with two single beds (90 x 190). To the left of the living room, two bedrooms, one with 2 single beds (90 x 190), the other a double bed (140 x 190) and a single mattress (90 x 190) on a mezzanine. To the right a kitchen corner with a large fridge with freezer compartment, a 4-burner gas stove and crockery, cutlery, etc. Behind it is the bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. Large terrace with table, umbrella, small barbecue and beautiful view over the lake. Duvets, blankets and pillows are provided in the cottage, you can rent sheets or bring your own.

Ideal for enjoying the peace and quiet in the evening while enjoying a glass of wine....

The Etang de Berre is the largest salty lake in Europe, inlet of the Mediterranean Sea! Sun, water, calm and conviviality... but also a cultural holiday, a golf holiday... everything is possible here...

"La Côte Plage" is a charming private holiday domain in the heart of the PROVENCE, 3km north of the cozy town of "Istres", right opposite the authentic fishing village "Saint Chamas".

Due to the central location of the park, you can see a lot of Provence without driving much. Les Alpilles with the famous towns of Les Baux, St. Rémy de Provence and Fontvieille, La Côte Bleue and the beaches of Fos sur Mer and Martigues are less than 20 minutes away. The sandy beach of Istres is at a distance of 3 km. Within 40 minutes you are in Arles, Aix en Provence or Marseille. La Camargue, le Lubéron as well as the cities of Avignon and Nîmes can be reached within an hour.

In the late 1960s my father sailed by boat via rivers and canals to the South of France. This is how he ends up on the Etang de Berre .. loses his heart to Provence and creates «La Côte Plage». A lovely place right on the water, an average of 3000 hours of sunshine a year (yes, yes, really .. thanks to the famous Mistral!), What more do you want, I eventually follow his example in 1981 and now live together with my children Mike and Marc- also among the "cigales" .. like a god in France !! If there is no mistral comes almost every day in the afternoon a breeze to set up.
