Our house (with free WiFi) is located on a southern slope, on a dead end road with detached, mostly 2nd homes. You can walk down in 10 minutes, where you can get your baguette in the village. The authentic mountain village of ALLOS is located at an altitude of 1400m, near the origin of the Verdon River . Due to its location on the south side of the Alps, we benefit from many hours of sunshine here and the climate is therefore still very pleasant in spring and autumn.

The Verdon valley is mainly known by the French who live on the Cote d'Azur, it is pleasantly busy during the school holidays, but outside of that it is wonderfully quiet and therefore ideal for nature lovers . The nearby National Park "Mercantour" with the famous “Lac d'Allos” , offers wonderful opportunities for days-long mountain walks .

We are Kees and Kathy, 59 and 50 years, we have one son, Pieter-Jan, who is a student and is often with us to Allos. I am engineer and my wife is a nurse. We have lived in France, as we have we restored an old water mill. We then went into the winter every weekend skiing in Allos and that went so well, that we have built together with good friends of ours Theo and Aly Green Tree, they have three sons a house.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Basically you are in apartment two, if it is busy you get for the same price apartment 1 or 3
You will receive a confirmation by the landlord and sent a clear directions.

Would you like to reservation 33% of the rent transfer, like the rest of the rent due 10 weeks before departure. For the key you get a code for the key safe, which is located next to the entrance.
Cancellation Terms: up to 10 weeks prior to rental date can still cancel and receive 90% of the rental return, then cancellation is no longer possible, we recommend to take out a cancellation insurance.

You pay no booking fees, no tourist tax and nothing extra for the electricity. We also do not require cleaning but expect you to leave it as neat as possible for the next tenants, in practice so far very good.
In the winter heating costs + 40 euros!

WINTER:
If you want something different, a ski resort with "only" french, friendly, relaxed atmosphere! Easily accessible by car (no traffic jams, something further away around 1250 KM of Utrecht). And easily accessible by plane eg with Transavia from Rotterdam to Nice, where you can rent a car for a reasonable price is more than 130 KM drive to Allos. From Christmas to April 7, the slopes open. The snow is fine in the resorts of Seignus and La Foux d'Allos (that is connected to Praloup). This is the largest ski resort in the southern French Alps with more than 230km of slopes, no long queues for the lifts and especially less expensive than the famous ski areas. Example skimap for 5 days in Seignus: 100, 65 + 94 euros FREE SKIING for 75 + ers. From our house is only 500 m from the cable car to the nearby ski area "Seignus", but we find it even easier to get there by car to drive to (2KM).

Watersports in the various rivers and lakes,
Lively markets where such local culinary sold.
For children there are several facilities in the recreation park within 15 minutes walking distance, including a swimming pool with slide.

Actually we would advise against only the months of April, November and early December, then it can be pretty rain.
