The apartment is a renovated monument. It is located in the heart of Willemstad, in a central location in the historic district of Otrobanda. It has room for 4 people in two bedrooms. The apartment is at street level and has its own entrance and a large private outdoor terrace, where you can sit or enjoy in the hammock between the palms overlooking an open square surrounded by colorful monuments.
The typical French louvered doors in the apartment all open onto the terrace, making for seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living.
The spacious living room with sofa and dining table or work table and open kitchen with refrigerator and two ceramic hobs, is equipped with all conveniences. Both bedrooms have double beds with thick mattresses, where you can have a siesta in the air conditioning and sleep softly at night, there is closet space. Between the bedrooms is the large bathroom with separate shower and separate toilet room. The shower has hot water. Towels and bed sheets are changed as hotel service and regular cleaning is provided. There are works of art in every room, and there are Portuguese tiles on the floors. There is free wifi. Parking is free on the square in front of the door or inside the fence on the terrace of the apartment.
The large outdoor terrace has a seating area, plants and a hammock. There is a shady spot at any time of the day. In the evening there is outdoor lighting for good eating, reading or playing a game. Or to drink a well-deserved drink after a long day with many impressions, because our beloved island never gets boring.
Otrobanda is a World Heritage Site and is a lively neighborhood with many alleys. From the apartment you have a view of art and murals. The alleys in front of the house are artistically decorated. Walk through it and you will arrive at the bottom of the shopping street, with supermarket, clothing stores and restaurants. The famous Netto Bar is just around the corner. Here King Willem Alexander and Maxima had a drink. Enjoy the unique experience in Otrobanda if you love history, architecture, and art.
A 5-minute walk away: the famous Emma Bridge pontoon to Punda, shops, the sea, cafes and restaurants and the lively Hulanda Village district with Slavery Museum. A 20-minute walk away is the small town beach of Punda, where you can swim after shopping.
