The house was designed by Jan des Bouvrie, but for us it is just a spacious house with space for the whole family, to enjoy being outdoors, lovely in the sun on the beds by the pool or in the shade on the porch or under the palapa with the bbq.

The house is situated in a quiet area with a beautiful view, it has both at the front and at the rear a spacious garden with lots of green, so you will not have trouble with neighbors. At the front, from the porch, you have a view over the sea. You reach the porch through the large living room, with double doors and is completely enclosed by a balustrade. The master bedroom is also located at the front of the house and has double doors to the porch. The modern en-suite bathroom is fully equipped with washbasin, shower and toilet.

The other two bedrooms are located at the rear of the house and both have their own bathroom with sink and shower. Both bedrooms have double doors to the spacious terrace with swimming pool. The modern half-open kitchen is also at the back. There is a second toilet in the hall.

The garden behind the house is conveniently located in relation to the wind, which is always there and blows from the same direction, so it is also nice when the sun is high and it is really warm. There is a large swimming pool surrounded by lots of space for chilling and for children to play. The large palapa offers a shady spot where you can barbecue in the evening.

Location house
Our house is located on a villa park called Coral Estate, a 3 km long strip located directly on the southwest coast of Curaçao. Coral Estate is adjacent to the Caribbean Sea on the south side, and on the north side is a salt lake (saliña) where many flamingos find food. The salt lake is part of the former salt pans. From Coral Estate you can walk down via a nature trail to the salt lake. Coral Estate is located near a very small village St. Willibrordus, with a large church that you can see from afar. The terrain of Coral Estate is large, about 350 hectares and only 30% is built on. If you want to run in the early morning, you can do a round of 7 km on Coral Estate alone. It lies west of Willemstad and Hato airport, on the quiet side of Curaçao and is about 15 minutes drive from the airport and about 30 minutes from Willemstad. It is close to the most beautiful beaches and dive sites of Curaçao. There is permanent monitoring at the only entrance gate that controls all incoming and outgoing cars.

Villapark Coral Estate has been around for 20 years. Some of the houses are permanently inhabited, many other houses are mainly used as a second home, just like we do. Almost all houses are privately owned, and of course Dutch people live there, but also many people with other nationalities. This means that you will encounter a mix of residents and tourists on Coral Estate and for example in restaurant Karakter. Our house is located on one of the higher terraces, so we have a view of the front and back of the house. It is very quiet at Coral Estate. Coral Estate has its own beach, close to the small-scale resort, Oasis Coral Estate Beach, Dive & Wellness Resort, and restaurant Karakter is located on the beach. A wellness is available at the resort.
