Enjoy a wonderful holiday on the sun-drenched Bonaire in the hospitable holiday villa "CASA PELICANO" a few minutes from the beach and the center of Kralendijk. The holiday home is an attractive, well-kept and spacious Bonairean house with a private swimming pool, several covered verandas and a large terrace. Casa Pelicano is excellently equipped for divers.

On 900m2 of land, with a spacious, covered porch at the front and rear, patio doors. Located slightly higher, so a breeze cools you all year round. Three spacious bedrooms, two luxurious bathrooms, spacious living room, separate TV room, large well-equipped kitchen with bar table and dining area, and of course the lovely swimming pool with terrace, sun beds and dining and sitting area with plenty of shade. There is also an outdoor shower and for divers a spacious sink, drying place and storage space for diving equipment. Everything is located on the ground floor, virtually barrier-free and there are several parking spaces at the house.
Freedom, optimal privacy, always sun and lots of holiday pleasure!

Ground floor:

Layout: Spacious living room with view to the TV room and kitchen, patio doors to the terrace, under the arch to the dining area, open kitchen with fridge freezer, ceramic hob, microwave. Through the hallway you reach the sleeping area, with three spacious bedrooms with air conditioning, two spacious luxury bathrooms, and plenty of storage space. From the dining kitchen you enter the back porch, which includes the large terrace and the private pool with sun loungers and facilities for divers.

General:

The whole house is on one level, virtually barrier-free, light, spacious and equipped with beautiful floor tiles. A cooling breeze blows through the house and over the terrace. Parking space for three cars at the front. A safe and free WiFi / wireless internet are available. 500m from the beach. A few minutes drive you will find the center of Kralendijk with all amenities such as: shops, supermarkets, restaurants, terraces, etc.

Bonaire (Papiamentu: Boneiru) is an island territory in the Caribbean Sea, and after Curaçao is the largest island of the (former) Netherlands Antilles. By 10 October 2010, Bonaire Dutch Church and called together with Saba and St. Eustatius, Caribbean Netherlands.

Location

Bonaire is one of the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao) and is located in the southern part of the Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Venezuela.

The capital of Bonaire is Kralendijk. The oldest settlement is Rincon. Bonaire is surrounded by bright, cobalt blue Caribbean waters, fine sand and pebble beaches. The average daytime temperature is between 28 and 32 degrees. The island lies downwind, so hurricanes has little trouble. But fortunately there is often a pleasant cooling breeze.

Demography

Bonaire has a small 15,000 inhabitants. According to the census in 2001, 86% of the population of Dutch nationality, but was only 52% of the island-born. The official language is Dutch. 75% of the population speak Papiamento at home (a hybrid language of Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese), Spanish 12%, 9% and 3% Dutch English. Most Papiamentstaligen also speak Dutch, English and Spanish.

Bonaire is in the Kingdom of the Netherlands within the state system of the Netherlands Antilles. The national government of the Netherlands Antilles is located in Willemstad. There is also a local island government that sits in Kralendijk, consisting of the Executive Council and the Island.

Tourism

The main economic sectors are tourism and salt. The southern part of the island is designed for environmentally friendly salt. Bonaire is known for one of the world's most beautiful underwater nature and is very popular with scuba divers. The waters around Bonaire are protected nature reserve since 1979. Besides diving, you can Bonaire excellent snorkeling, windsurfing, kite surfing, hiking, horse riding, sailing, kayaking and mountain biking.

On 1 October 2010, Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius with a special municipality of the Netherlands. Collectively called the islands Caribbean Netherlands.
Bonaire is now directly under the Dutch government, like a municipality in the Netherlands itself would be. But retains its own identity and culture.

Besides the introduction of the Dutch legislation, the biggest advantage is the improvement of the facilities. Thus Improvements will be introduced in the field of health care and health insurance, education, police and fire services, social housing, airports and ports, roads and social and community support.
