This Austrian chalet is located in the Belgian Ardennes, near the High Fens, on the edge of the village of Ovifat, at approximately the highest point in Belgium. This holiday home has a beautiful panorama and game regularly crosses the adjacent meadows. You can enjoy beautiful nature. The area is ideal for all kinds of outdoor activities such as cycling with the Dutch bicycle on the "Ravel" (old railway lines), skiing and cross-country skiing (in season) distance ski slope = 2 km, walking, mountain biking, mountaineering, horse riding or a game of tennis on site. There are also plenty of water sports opportunities through the many lakes (including
Lac de Robertville) in the immediate vicinity. Nice tourist towns nearby are Malmedy and Stavelot where you can enjoy shopping or enjoy a nice Belgian beer in a cafe.

House description: No Pets due to Hygiene and Corona!

The chalet is located in the middle of the beautiful Ardennes nature in a dead-end street with a spacious driveway with parking for at least two passenger cars. You gain access to the entrance hall of the chalet via an external staircase and covered veranda. The "1st floor" floor is approximately 2 meters above ground level, so you can also enjoy the beautiful view from inside.
The living room is cozy with a dining area and a cozy sitting area around the wood stove and TV. Also WiFi for internet available. Adjacent, in a separate room, the kitchen is very complete, including: a dishwasher, electric hob, combination oven and sufficient kitchen utensils and crockery. The kitchen also contains a small dining area for 4 people.

From the living room you go through a small hall to the bathroom and the two bedrooms. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, two sinks and a toilet. The two bedrooms, one with a double bed (1.80x2.00, 2 separate mattresses: 0.90x2.00) and one room with two single beds (0.80x1.90), both have sufficient cupboard space. Also equipped with pillows and accompanying loose duvets. You must provide your own pillowcases, duvet covers and sheets! Also provide your own kitchen and bath linen.

The living room has access to the veranda and garden through two French doors. The terrace (with sun blinds) on the sunny south has a garden table with parasol and garden chairs with cushions. In the garden house there is an additional second garden set with parasol and a BBQ to enjoy a snack and a drink on the lawn.

At the bottom of the basement/storage room there is a washing machine (bring your own powder), a children's camp bed with mattress (bring your own blankets, etc.), high chair and bath. You can use the garden house as a storage room for your own bicycles. There are also small children's bicycles available there, with toys, football goals and jeu de boules... various. games
Also 2 wooden Sleen and 2 plastic Sleen.
The chalet has wooden shutters all around, hot-air heating in all rooms and a wood-burning stove in the living room. Wood is included and in sufficient supply.
The fully enclosed garden of approximately 2200 m² has a rack with swings, a private tennis court, a 2-person trampoline...

In short, a wonderful house where you will never be bored all year round.

We enjoyed a nice holiday week. The cottage is really perfect for 2 people. The location is fantastic and for anyone who loves nature and privacy is a must. We have from the cottage seen deer and foxes. A number of birds and lots of small birds such as the apple chaffinch, bullfinch and many different tits, coal tit, great tit, crested tit, many notches, etc. Also nice were the squirrels every morning in the garden were eating. We even made them for birdseed to attract. It's very handy to have a telescope because you can see all the animals well. The owners are very friendly and hospitable people and they can tell a lot about the environment. It was also nice that every day a stock of firewood klaarlag for us. Our thanks and compliments. Andre and Marja

• Mr. Hardenbol, Netherlands Date of stay: 11/07/2008 - 18/07/2008
The Ardennes surpassed our verwachtingen.Heel many hiking opportunities. Nature are beautiful, (homage to the Creator!) The paths so real and natural as possible, we found better than anywhere in the woods or asphalt grindwegjes to find. It sometimes took some effort, but you were really in the middle of nature. We had a car without a car but it is equally difficult to do your shopping. What we found difficult is that you can not pay in the shops with a pass. So you had to always provide cash in his pocket. But before we had it free and situated in a quiet environment. We also have several times seen deer, rabbits and a squirrel that we found funny. All in all, if we have money again is certainly an idea of ??the Bulge Once more to enjoy. Every new guest we wish at least as much pleasure as we had vacation on this beautiful spot of the world, God's garden. Sincerely, C. Hardenbol.
