On the edge of the hamlet of Ovifat, in the middle of the High Fens and at about the highest point in Belgium, this is an Austrian chalet. This holiday home has a magnificent panorama, and in the adjacent meadows, wildlife regularly extends. You can enjoy a great privacy and an oasis of peace and nature. The area is ideal for all kinds of outdoor activities such as skiing and cross country skiing (seasonal), hiking, mountain biking, mountain sports, horse riding or a game of tennis on site. There are also plenty of water sports through the many lakes (including Lac de Robertville) in the immediate area. Nice tourist towns in the area are Malmedy and Stavelot where you can shop for a nice beer or have a nice Belgian beer in a café.
The chalet amidst the beautiful ardenner nature lies in a dead end street with ample driveway for at least two passenger cars. Via an outside staircase and covered porch you will have access to the entrance hall of the chalet. The "1st floor" residential area is approximately 2m above the ground level, allowing you to enjoy the magnificent view from the inside.
The living room is cozy furnished with a dining area and a cozy sitting around the wood stove and TV. Wi-Fi internet is also available. Adjoining a separate room the kitchen is very complete with, among other things. A dishwasher, electric hob, combi oven and sufficient kitchen utensils and crockery. The kitchen also has a small dining area for 4 people.
From the living room you go through a small hall to the bathroom and the two bedrooms. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, two sinks and a toilet. The two bedrooms, one with a double bed (1.80x2.00, 2 separate mattresses: 0.90x2.00) and one room with two single beds (0.80x1.90), both have ample closet space. Also provided with pillows and corresponding loose duvets. For this you will need to bring duvet covers / sheets and sheets!)
The living room has access to the porch and the garden via two patio doors. The sunny sun terrace (with sunbathing) features a garden table with parasol and garden chairs, with pillows. In the garden house there is an additional second garden set available with parasol and a BBQ to also enjoy a bite and a drink on the lawn.
In the basement / storage room there is a washing machine (to bring your own powder), a children's camping bed with mattress (blankets etc with your own), baby chair and box. The garden house can be used as storage for your own bicycles. There are also small children's bikes available, with toys, soccer balls and bowls.
The chalet has wooden shutters everywhere, hot air heating in all rooms and a wood stove in the living room. Wood is included and sufficiently present.
In the fully fenced garden of approximately 2200 m² there is a rack of swings, a sandpit, bowling alley and private tennis court.
In short, a blissful house with a high customer rating, which you do not have to be bored all year long.
The Eau-Vi-Fat chalet is usually rented with a fixed changeover day on Friday but outside the high season, shorter rental periods are also possible, such as a long weekend or mid-week. Arrival time is usually in the afternoon between 16:00 and 18:00. Leave before 10:00 in the morning or at a weekend booking around 20:00 on Sunday evening and Easter and Pentecost.

We hebben erg genoten! Prachtige ligging en natuur!! Als je van rust wilt genieten is dit zeker een aanrader!! Huisje erg knus, zeker met de haard aan!! :-)
