Le Bèrôdî

Our cottage Le Bèrôdî dates from the 19th century and is included in the book 'La Patrimoine de la Belgique'. The word 'Bèrôdî' in Walloon means a wooden structure of a barn on which the hay is stored.

In 1970 it was converted into a holiday home. Last year we completely renovated the house to provide it with all comfort and still retain its authentic character.

Le Bèrôdî has everything for a wonderful stay in the Ardennes: a living room with fireplace and stove, a sitting area in the loft, a fitted kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 3 double bedrooms.

Outside you have a terrace with garden table and barbecue in the fenced garden. In the basement you can use an extra fridge and freezer, a washing machine and dryer.

The cottage is located in Heyd, a part of the smallest town in the world, Durbuy. Ideal as a starting point for hikes or bike rides, but also to explore the region. A visit to Wéris as one of the most beautiful villages of the Ardennes, sailing on the Ourthe, descending in the caves of Hotton, Sunday shopping in Bastogne, ... and of course strolling in Durbuy.

We are a family with 2 children from Leuven (Belgium). Not so long ago we discovered this handsome house. And we would like to share that. We have something with authentic houses in a beautiful region. So we also fell on a holiday home in Saint-Pompon: Le Coquelicot - with heated pool. Always welcome!
