Domaine l 'Ecureuil (= squirrel) was bought by the Smit family in 1997. Our family consists of 3 families; 2 sisters and 1 brother. The domain is a beautiful area (20 hectares), a true oasis of peace and nature, in which our holiday home is located. Ideal for lovers of peace, long walks, nature and tourist towns. Domaine Ecureuil is situated along the Ourthe.
We belong to the municipality of Durbuy, known as the smallest flower town in the world. In Bohon, 0.8 km there is a tropical swimming paradise. The surroundings are beautiful. You can enjoy hiking, visiting towns, canoeing, mountain biking. Deer, boars, badgers, squirrels, the Eagle Owl (a special owl species) and other beautiful bird houses on the site. The accommodation is well appointed. There is a radio & CD player and no TV. Very suitable for guests who like peace and quiet and who go out daily. Because we are not always there, you will be welcomed by an administrator.
The daily series Spangas, a series for the youth broadcast by Zapp, has made a cinema film that was filmed almost entirely on our Domaine. The crew spent 3 months there. You can find some photos on our site.
