Our holiday home is located near the charming town of Durbuy in the Belgian Ardennes, in the middle of the forest. The house is located in a small-scale holiday park, so you are provided with all amenities. The chalet is approximately 100m2 in size, offers a pleasant atmosphere and is one of the most spacious in the park with 3 full bedrooms, a living room, open kitchen, dining room, bathroom with toilet (ground floor) and a sink with toilet (2nd floor). . There is free WiFi everywhere in the park.
The park has an indoor swimming pool, football field, basketball court, tennis court, table tennis tables, 2 playgrounds, a jeu de boules court, barbecue areas and a restaurant with a large terrace. You can use the washing machine and dryer at the park for a fee.
Durbuy is a stone's throw away and can be reached via a nice walk along the Ourthe and through the forest. Other activities in the (nearby) area include walking, cycling, kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, climbing, abseiling, cave viewing and shopping in one of the towns in the area. In winter you can go skiing, cross-country skiing and sledding.
House layout:
You enter on the ground floor. There is a bathroom with a spacious shower, sink and toilet and a bedroom with bunk beds, TV, DVD player and game console.
The stairs take you to the first floor. At the back of the house there is a spacious open kitchen with two refrigerators and a combination microwave. Next to the kitchen is a large dining table that seats 8 people. The back door leads to a terrace at the side of the cottage, where there is a picnic table for 8 people. You walk towards the forest via a forest path.
The front of the house faces south. Here is the living room, with large corner sofa, TV, DVD player and stereo. Through a door you reach a spacious and sheltered but sunny balcony with chairs and garden table.
Games, puzzles and films for young and old can be found in various cupboards and drawers.
You reach the top floor via the stairs. There are two bedrooms here; one with a double bed and one with two single beds. Between the bedrooms is a second toilet with sink.
Duvets, pillows and extra blankets are provided.
