Chalet Alpensuss is a luxurious 6-person chalet in sunny Kötschach-Mauthen in Carinthia, Austria. The chalet is in a unique location within walking distance of the slopes and the cozy village center, with unobstructed views of the mountains and plenty of peace and space.
The chalet is comfortably and luxuriously furnished and has three bedrooms and two modern bathrooms. Two bedrooms are located on the first floor, one of which has its own bathroom. On the ground floor there is a third bedroom and an additional bathroom with infrared Sunshower, ideal for fully relaxing after an active day. Thanks to its generous layout, Alpensuss is perfect for families, couples or friends who want to enjoy together, but also value privacy.
The cosy living room with large panoramic windows offers a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. With the electrically operated slats, you determine the light incidence yourself. The surrounding area offers numerous hiking trails, mountain lakes, cable cars, mountain huts and beautiful day trips.
Just 400 metres away is the Aquarena, a modern swimming paradise with indoor and outdoor pools, wellness, sunbathing lawn and tennis courts. During the summer season (late May to early September) you can book a swimming pass for the entire duration of your stay via Alpensuss.
The cozy village center is about a five-minute walk away and offers supermarkets, shops, a bakery and several restaurants and terraces.
In winter, you step almost directly into the snow from the chalet. Within walking distance is the family slope with chairlift, drag lift and ski school. For those looking for more of a challenge, the large ski area of Nassfeld with over 110 kilometers of slopes is only a 25-minute drive away. Cross-country skiing, winter hiking and tobogganing are also possible.
Popular excursions in the area make your stay extra special. Think of the Dolomitenhütte, the Tristacher See, the Weissensee, the Garnitzenklamm, the Wolayersee, the Plöcken Pass with a day in Italy and the impressive Mauthner Klamm.
