Location of the house is very central between all the famous villages and castles in the Périgord noir; Within half an hour you can visit many 'plus Beaux Villages'.
This house is highly recommended, good value for money

Lovely holiday home, we have been here for 2 weeks with the dogs (medium). Very beautiful surroundings and quiet but still close to supermarket. Sharing from the cottage is perfect. There are also plenty of opportunities in the vicinity.
The only disadvantage for us was that the internet was not stable (has to do with the work of the provider) which made working sometimes difficult. We had a lovely time!

Looking for a comfortable house with a lovely pool and great views? In need of an oasis of peace? Look no further! After our stay last year, we chose La Rosette again this year and we never really do that. So that says it all. Compared to last year, there is now a dishwasher and (fast and stable) wireless internet. Dotting the i's and crossing the t's. Centrally located to all the pearls of the Périgord Noir, so a perfect base for a combination of sunbathing and exploring.

We have visited many castles, villages and swimming spots and all this can be reached within 30-45 minutes. A lot of information about sights and other outings is available, very nice!
The décor of the house reminds us of the past but positive. Everything is neat and clean.
The swimming pool, garden and terrace is a good place to stay for young and old. We found no wifi and moderate reaching. Away from the mobile era for a while, there is room for a game, reading or music via the record player.
How special to be able to read the history of la rostte! We thank you for that.
We have been renting private houses for years and la rosette is definitely a favorite. Well, we don't look at things with very critical eyes and of course there are always points for improvement, but these are not relevant as far as we are concerned. La rosette is a nice house in a beautiful location!

What a nice holiday home! Everything is there, it's comfortable and cozy. It is also located in an incredibly beautiful quiet area and the amenities in villages and small towns are nearby. In particular, we were impressed by the contact and service of the landlord. Had a great holiday, and worth repeating!

It was exciting until the last day whether it would all go ahead. What if the borders were to close again? Luckily this was not and we had 2 wonderful weeks in this house and the surrounding area. House is really more than complete. Of course, a dishwasher is actually missing, but that is clearly stated and was therefore already known before we booked and therefore a conscious choice. The same goes for Wi-Fi, but the 4g+ coverage is more than sufficient so don't miss it. A nice surprise was the presence of the nespresso machine.
Around the house are several terraces. Lie in the sun by the pool, enjoy the shade of the grapes or enjoy the sunset indoors.
Sofas and chairs ok, beds a bit low but ok, sanitary ok, shower comfort ok, blinds ok, swimming pool ok, general impression ok. TV a bit small, but what do you do with a TV if it's also 30+ degrees in the evening? I am not allowed to select child-friendliness, but that is certainly ok too!
Less than a 10-minute drive away, 2 large supermarkets can be found.
Of course, the region itself is also fantastic. A great base for castles, caves and medieval towns.

Let me start with the fact that we had a wonderful holiday. Upon arrival, a delicious bottle of wine was waiting for us along with a personal card. The last name was not correct so we thought for a moment that it would be double booked, but fortunately that was not the case:)
The house was clean and the kitchen complete down to the cheese slicer, kups nespresso and spices.

There is a thick information folder that could use an update. It's an eight-person house, but we wouldn't sit there with 8 adults ourselves. There is another bedroom on the ground floor, but it feels a bit damp and musty and lacks the coziness of upstairs. We missed a large mirror in which you can fully see yourself in the master bedroom. Unfortunately, we only found it after a few days in one of the interior doors of the wardrobe of another bedroom upstairs.

The roller shutter of the swimming pool is not a superfluous luxury. Despite the fact that we had it closed when we were not using it, there were still new leaves and bugs in it. There is a net to fish it out, but you don't get everything out and it piles up on the bottom that we unfortunately couldn't clean ourselves. It would also be nice if there was a smaller net that fits in the holes where the strainer of the pool itself is. We wanted to empty these, but a large spider prevented us from doing so with our bare hands.
The jet stream of the swimming pool turned out not to work, but after making a report of it, a mechanic came and fixed it a few days later.

The TV only receives French channels and there is no Wi-Fi. The internet coverage on the phone is significantly better for the cottage than at the pool. There is plenty of entertainment from books, games, jeu de boules, ping pong and darts (the board still has to be hung somewhere and we only saw 2 darts).

They are all single mattresses. One slept well and the other thought the mattress was too hard, but at least there were no holes in the mattress yet:)

The front doors are difficult to open and close.

The cottage itself is a bit remote from eateries and supermarkets so you have to take the car for that, but the view from the house and tranquility you get in return is great.

All in all, we definitely enjoyed la Rosette.
